SVG Crowbar
A Chrome-specific bookmarklet that extracts SVG nodes and accompanying styles from an HTML document and downloads them as an SVG file—A file which you could open and edit in Adobe Illustrator, for instance. Because SVGs are resolution independent, it’s great for when you want to use web technologies to create documents that are meant to be printed (like, maybe on newsprint). It was created with d3.js in mind, but it should work fine no matter how you choose to generate your SVG.

DataTurbine | Open Source DataTurbine Initiative
'DataTurbine is a robust real-time streaming data engine that lets you quickly stream live data from experiments, labs, web cams and even Java enabled cell phones. It acts as a "black box" to which applications and devices send and receive data. Think of it as express delivery for your data, be it numbers, video, sound or text.

DataTurbine is a buffered middleware, not simply a publish/subscribe system. It can receive data from various sources (experiments, web cams, etc) and send data to various sinks (visualization interfaces, analysis tools, databases, etc). It has "TiVO" like functionality that lets applications pause and rewind live streaming data.

DataTurbine is open source and free. There is also an active developer and user community that continues to evolve the software and assist in application development.'

Data Unity: Open Data tools
'People often lack the technical skills to engage with open data or their own organisation's data. Although there are tools like spreadsheets available, extracting meaningful insights can be challenging.

How does Data Unity work?
There is a simple front end tool for querying data called the Data Explorer. Users can create a query by dropping aspects of their data onto rows and columns and view the results as tables and graphics. Once these views on the data have been created they can be shared.'

OpenCage Data - OpenStreetMap geodata extraction made easy
OpenCage Data is a division of Lokku. Founded in 2006 and based in London, we are long time supporters of OSM - we’ve sponsored numerous State of the Map conferences, mapping parties, and made major donations to HOT-OSM and OSMF's server drives. We run #geomob, a meetup of London location based service devs where we do our best to highlight geoinnovation.

We’re best known for Nestoria, our property search engine. We work closely with 80+ major media companies around the world, managing lots of data (geo and otherwise). Read the Nestoria case study to see how we use OSM data.

Heresay: Discovering local discussion
Via @marksimpkins. Heresay is a tool for understanding communities.
All over the web there are unstructured conversations about local issues: health, planning, crime. When the bins are collected, when the bins aren't collected.
We convert it into structured data that organisations can easily use. We locate content by borough, ward and constituency, and tag according to topic.

The Observatory of Economic Complexity :: About
The Observatory of Economic Complexity is a tool that allows users to quickly compose a visual narrative about countries and the products they exchange.

Each of the different visualizations allow for different views of the same data. The tree maps show the shares of trade that a country of product make up while the stacked area charts show this same data over time. The product space is a unique view of the network of relatedness of products that countries trade. The layout remains fixed while the countries export basket is overlayed with a thick black border on the products they were exporting in the given year.

The observatory provides access to bilateral trade data for roughly 200 countries, 50 years and 1000 different products of the SITC4 revision 2 classification.
