frida-trace Failed to attach to non-Apple apps on iOS 10.1.1 · Issue #120 · frida/frida-core
Hello, I am new to Frida and I just installed Frida on my Mac and Jailbroken iPad (iOS 10.1.1). When I tried frida-trace, it attached fine to Apple apps that come with iOS such as Safari. However, frida-trace failed to attach to non-Appl...

chaitin/passionfruit: [WIP] Crappy iOS app analyzer
Getting tired of everything not working for iOS 11 or iOS 12. This is waiting on Frida to work with unc0ver, iOS 12 jailbreak way. Not sure if the unjailbroken way can still work. I just want the keychain stuff. https://github.com/frida/frida-core/issues/120 -- [WIP] Crappy iOS app analyzer. Contribute to chaitin/passionfruit development by creating an account on GitHub.

mwrlabs/needle: The iOS Security Testing Framework
This might or might not work on iOS_12. Already need to do manual hacking to hopefully get it working on iOS_11. -- Refer to this issue for example: https://github.com/dmayer/idb/issues/91 but it also shows issues that https://github.com/mwrlabs/needle/issues/212 refers to of the whole project being really outdated for iOS 11, no less iOS 12. -- a whole lot better than idb, but prob not very good -- The iOS Security Testing Framework. idb - iOS Application Security Assessment Tool -
EDIT: Seems like this doesn't work fully on iOS 10. And would be even worse on later ones. Looking at issues like this: https://github.com/dmayer/idb/issues/91. Another issue is that it is usaing the keychain editor of the nitinJami which doesn't work [properly] on iOS 11+. I doubt they switched to the forked one. I can do that. But not other issues if it just doesn't work. -- Alternatives seem to be: Needle, Objection, chaitin/passionfruit

Apparently only works up to iOS 10. Not with iOS 11. A fork though fixes it for iOS 11. Not sure if that means iOS 12 yet or not. If you use shell scripts to automate macOS applications, you may need to switch between, hide, show or quit applications. Need to launch an X11 application from Terminal but the X server isn't in front when you need it? Use appswitch to fix the problem. Or, if you'd like a version of the ps(1) utility which understands the concept of macOS applications, appswitch can help.

"If you use shell scripts to automate macOS applications, you may need to switch between, hide, show or quit applications. Need to launch an X11 application from Terminal but the X server isn't in front when you need it? Use appswitch to fix the problem. Or, if you'd like a version of the ps(1) utility which understands the concept of macOS applications, appswitch can help. Apple provides a simple command-line launching program called open with macOS. launch offers several options that open doesn't. It: opens "slack" URLs (e.g. apple.com) and email addresses (-l) lets you specify applications by their four-character creator (e.g. 'ToyS') or Java-style bundle ID (e.g. com.apple.ScriptEditor2), both of which allow you to move or rename an application without changing references to it lets you find applications rather than opening them (-n) asks applications to print documents (-p) allows you to pipe output to any GUI application (not just TextEdit) displays extensive file, folder and volume information including type, creator, bundle ID, sizes, dates and versions (-f) reports errors intelligibly and much more! launch is useful by itself, but is even better when used in scripts. Assign a shell command to your favorite macOS text, graphics or resource editor. Browse your favorite Web site with a few keystrokes."

Pashua - bluem.net
"Pashua is a tool for creating native Aqua dialog windows from programming languages that have none or only limited support for graphic user interfaces on Mac OS X, such as AppleScript, Bash scripts, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, Tcl and others —and if your favourite language is not yet supported: writing the glue code for communicating with Pashua is pretty simple. The GUI elements which can be used for such dialogs include text input fields (single-line and multi-line), checkboxes, radiobuttons, combo boxes, popup menus, buttons and others. Moreover, it's possible to embed images or PDFs. Any data submitted from the dialog will be passed on to the calling script, which can (of course) use it for anything. To define the dialog window, Pashua uses a very simple syntax. All the cumbersome details such as positioning the elements, calculating the window size etc. are handled automatically by Pashua, thus you can fully concentrate on your application. Example code for AppleScript, Bash, PHP and Perl is included in the download. A list of examples for other languages can be found in a GitHub repository."

Cliclick - bluem.net
“Cliclick” is short for “Command-Line Interface Click”. It is a a tiny shell/Terminal application that will emulate mouse clicks or series of mouse clicks (including doubleclicks and control-clicks) at arbitrary screen coordinates. Moreover, it lets you move the mouse, get the current mouse coordinates, press modifier keys etc.

Hence, it is a tool for automating / scripting things that cannot otherwise be scripted (for instance, using AppleScript). Other than GUI Scripting, it does not require “Access for assistive devices” to be activated in the System Preferences.
