A beautiful view of the Columbia river and the surrounding farmland prior to landing at the airport in Pasco, Washington.

There's a funny moment at the 10:30 point where the stewardess, tired after her fourth flight of the day, starts to recite the "welcome aboard" speech instead of the "welcome to Pasco" speech. Also, she can't remember the name of the city she is welcoming her passengers to!

The Columbia river is in a U-shape in this area of the Pacific Northwest. Note that at the beginning of the video, the river is flowing from the bottom of the screen to the top. The plane flies over the river and then later (at 3:50 in the video) you see the other half of the U-shaped river... flowing from the top of the screen to the bottom.

At the 4:45 point, that's the Snake river joining the Columbia... with the water in the Snake river flowing from the right side of the screen to the left.

The Union Pacific rail switchyard is visible at 9:20 in to the video.

The circular fields visible throughout much of the video are shaped like that thanks to center-pivot irrigation systems. This entire area has a high-desert climate, but has been transformed in to incredibly productive farmland with water pumped in from the Columbia river.
