Derek raises an eyebrow. That isn’t his real name. There’s no way. But now he thinks about it, he has a vague memory of someone, probably Uncle Peter, telling him that with the fae, names have power. “I’m Miguel,” he says.

“Lie.”

“Are you trying to tell me your real name is Stiles?”

Stiles runs his tongue across his teeth and considers Derek carefully. “Fair enough,” he says, “Miguel it is.”

Grabbing his groceries and pocketing the change, Derek turns to leave; he’s nearly at the door when Stiles calls out, “By the way, Miguel, if you’re interested, it’s two for one on bags of kibble at the pet store down the street.”

Derek doesn’t look back, doesn’t hesitate, just raises a hand and flips him off on the way out.

Moon's Notes: The fic that is mostly light-hearted and happy, and yet still bittersweet and sad. I smiled through tears, no lie. Stiles is a half-fae stuck in Beacon Hills as its replacement Nemeton/Guardian, he loves and loses everyone over time (Sheriff! ::sniff::) until he finally meets Derek and falls in love.

Sometimes, Harry can't help but wonder why such strange shit always happens to him.

Spock is lonely and wanted a baby brother, after a misunderstanding and an accident a baby Jim is dropped into his lap courtesy of a stork. Taking this to mean that Jim is his new baby brother he takes Jim out for a day of fun.

Jack Frost had given up hope on ever having kids of his own. Then the Man in the Moon gave him five huge eggs. Jack's about to get the family he always wanted, and Bunny's gonna have to come along for the ride. Turns out, he's not the last Pooka after all.

Moon's Notes: Post-BOFA, Bilbo joins Gandalf in checking out Dol Guldur. He discovers something sickly growing beneath the soil, and Hobbits are great gardeners. Two long fics, quiet and homey. Potato Orcs! Warg puppies! Skitters' spider silk! Of course a Hobbit being Hobbitish throws everything on its head.

He settles (as much as the god of chaos ever can) and he foresees no near end to his sojourn on Midgard. He is away from his irritating brother, his aloof father and the snide court of Asgard. He has had no near death experiences since coming to Midgard, nor has he needed to rescue others from one. He is learning (one must always make an effort to learn, after all) and experiencing something so wholly different from the boredom of Asgard. Everything is good.

Rodney McKay gets back from his unjust Siberia exile and takes a consulting gig that lets him work from home. He picks a random city, gets a cat, and starts cultivating his eccentricity.
His upstairs neighbor is an insanely hot guy whose cop uniform either means the obvious, or that his night job is a stripper. Rodney doesn't care which, he's busy becoming the old lady with the twitching lace curtains who watches everything. (And, yeah, thinking about what that strip routine might look like. John Sheppard quit the Air Force in a last-ditch attempt to save his marriage, since there was a kid on the way. It didn't work, and in fact backfired spectacularly, so now he's left with child support payments and a mortgage on a house he doesn't live in (his dad's a dick), an ex-wife who still loves him enough to yank more little bits out of his heart every chance she gets, a kid he gets to see for a few hours every other week, and a job where he gets shot at almost as much as the one he used to love that he quit. (He's a cop. He's okay at it. That's a hard adjustment to make.)
But at least his new downstairs neighbor is hilarious.

Merlin’s been in love with Lance for years, but he hasn’t had much experience dating and he wants to figure out the ins and outs of dating before Lance comes back into his life. Cue Arthur and his manwhoring ways, ready and willing to show Merlin the ropes.

Since Hogwarts had opened its doors to werewolves, many Hale children had apparently come through, wary and angry, refusing to socialize with the other students. And one by one, they’d been sorted into Slytherin, obviously, with the odd Ravenclaw to mix things up.

And then along came little Derek Hale, who’d barely gotten his ass on the stool before the hat was calling out Gryffindor.

Everyone thought it was funny, even now, when Derek was in his seventh year. Stiles, though, found it fascinating.

It helped, of course, that Derek was two years older and hotter than the sun.

A Teen Wolf/Hogwarts fusion written for skoosiepants, which features Ravenclaw Stiles, Gryffindor Derek, and an endless bond of Best Friend Foreverdom with Scott McCall that not even the Sorting Hat can put asunder! It's set at Christmas time, and involves some teeny tiny dragons (hence the title).

This is mainly fluff, with a tiny bit of near-death experience featuring some blood and scariness. But only a little.

As prominent figures in the mutant rights movement, activists Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr are pretty much household names. When a romance scandal between them breaks, their celebrity reaches new heights, and though the increased exposure is great, there’s a big problem -- the two of them are just friends.

Too bad no one believes them.

The British Government accidentally clones Sherlock Holmes. Which brings a baby to 221B Baker Street.

Harvey has always put on a good show at work. He has put a lot of effort into the smoke and mirrors act, and it had worked to his advantage- until now. Backed into a corner by a law he can't side-step, he decides Mike is his only way out. They're getting married, and Mike really has no say in it. Alludes to but does not strictly follow the plot of the movie "The Proposal"(2009)

Everything's fine between Jim and Spock at the end of the first five year mission, or so Jim thinks. But then Spock up and leaves San Francisco without so much as a goodbye, and Jim's suddenly faced with the prospect of life without his first officer...unless he can go to New York and win Spock back. Or: That one where Derek doesn't believe in Santa Clause, but Santa Clause still believes in him.

In December 1944, the entire nation loves Rebecca Lawrence - "America's Most Beloved Homemaker." Her columns about leading the ideal life in the country help lift people's spirits on the home front during World War II. But when her publisher asks her to host a war hero for Christmas dinner, the world is in danger of learning the truth ... which is that "Rebecca Lawrence" is imaginary. Really, she's a combination of Raven's snappy writing and Charles' knowhow in the kitchen.

However, this war hero, Erik Lehnsherr, is headed to Connecticut, so Raven and Charles have no choice but to find a way to make the imaginary real - at least, just for Christmas. Charles thinks they can pull it off, at least until he opens the door to see Erik and falls in love at first sight.

(Kaydeefalls asked for a fusion, any fusion. So naturally I decided to mix XMFC with a 1940s Christmas movie.)

Loki comes down from Asgard with a request from his and Thor's children: they want to come and visit their father. Naturally, Thor agrees.

This is all well and good, except for the fact that Thor never mentioned having a wife and kids.

When Derek comes to Stiles with a confession that he has trust issues that make any sex life impossible, he offers Stiles a mutually beneficial proposal:

They are close friends who trust each other explicitly, therefore, they can have sex with each other and take care of both his intimacy issues and Stiles's 'virginity' issue all in one no-strings-attached deal.

Derek and Stiles are comfortable with their arrangement... It's everybody else that is waiting for their friendship to be damaged beyond repair.

Derek also happens to be head over heels in love (and lust) with Stiles.

It takes a while for Stiles to figure this out, months into their living arrangement, but when he does, it gives him a little power trip.

When they’re alone, he gets a little…well, exhibitionist. Doors are left open no matter if he’s taking a bath or having a little alone time in his bed and he walks around in only his boxers more than he usually would. He feels like a cat in heat, showing himself off, waiting for his desired mate to pounce but Derek never does.

In the years since Bilbo left Erebor, he has lost his respectability, gained a nephew, and gotten on with life at Bag End.

He'd left aside adventure for the comforts and peace of his little Hobbit hole, and for the love of a child who needed him. Though perhaps, adventures can yet find him.

Derek Hale is the photographer for the family-run magazine 'NECKZ 'n THROATS', a periodical aimed solely at the werewolf demographic. When the model for their monthly bails out, the staff are hard-pressed to find someone else to photograph at the last minute.

Stiles Stilinski is a college student, scraping by on odd jobs to pay for his education fees. When his long-time friend Lydia finds him a one-off gig at a photo-shoot, he figures it couldn't hurt.

As contrary as their natures appear to be, Derek finds the most fascinating piece of art at the end of his lens.

Moon's Notes: I'm not a big fan of the Necks'n'Throats-verse stories which usually come off as very seedy and borderline to me, but this one is surprisingly nice and fluffy.

When Loki is captured by Shield, they discover a dark secret between Loki and Odin. A different take on Loki's 'monster' kids.

The reason for this fic is this. I was on norsekink and found a thread that ruined me. Basically the prompt was that Loki gets pregnant and gives birth only to kill the infant before the Avengers arrive because he would rather the child be given a merciful death than be taken away by Odin like the rest of his kids. This prompt was filled not once but four times. Did I read those fills? Yes I did. Did I weep uncontrollably? You bet your sweet kester I did. And after reading all these terribly sad stories I was left feeling extremely morose and desperate for a happy ending. So I'm writing it.

So be warned! This fic may not have any romance but its going to be fluffy. Because I need this fluff like Thor needs a haircut. If you dont want fluff, just keep on walking because I will not apologize for this fic. Its therapy for my soul and for all the fictional babies Loki had to kill.

Moon's Notes: As usual, this story is missing the actual 'talk things out' part of conflict resolution but it at least acknowledges that three lines of explanation do not magically fix an entire history of misunderstanding. That automatically makes it better than the typical 'oh wait, you love me? okay! let's have sex and pretend all those hurt feelings never happened, yay!' type of stories, which are otherwise frustratingly common.

The summer after senior year starts normally enough, with the gang spending their final months before college together at the Martin family's lake house. Then Jackson stumbles onto the burial ground of a witch's ex-husband, Stiles is magically turned into a fox, and things somehow manage to get worse from there. The gratuitous Princess Bride references are only of moderate help.

Or: Five Times Derek is a Born Wolf and Nobody Gets it, and One Time They Do.

There was some recent posts on tumblr about wolf pack affection behaviors such as grooming, walking together, laying heads on each other, etc. etc. and about how Derek would do them more naturally than turned wolves so.....

Regardless of his sadly lacking social circle, Stiles was going to have to get some physical contact or he was going to explode. Seriously. It’d be messy and Derek would probably become even more emotionally constipated having to clean up little bits of Stiles from his pristine walls and furniture.

Moon's Notes: Ridiculously cute and fluffy Alpha/Omega werewolves fic. Author's "slavery" tag is a non-issue, since Stiles willingly put himself up for auction in a kind-of arranged marriage thing. No actual slavery occurs.

Pissing Finch off never actually ends well; usually it ends like this, with John scaring the shit out of her at two in the morning.

Bilbo, a lonely hobbit of the Shire in the valley outside Erebor, gets a job as a cook in the dwarf kingdom to pass the time and keep himself occupied after his mother’s death. One day he meets a regal dwarf, who he thinks is a thief and trespasser, and throws an apple at his head, never knowing he’s just assaulted the dwarven Prince. Thus begins the antagonistic and somewhat odd courtship of a hobbit and the next King of Erebor.

Finch comes up with a way to curb Leon’s tendency to wind up in trouble. Unfortunately for Reese, the NYPD, and several (mostly) innocent bystanders, it involves socializing.

Reese has Finch. It’s only fair that Bear gets someone too. (aka the Bear Adopts a Kitten fic)

Derek notices that Stiles doesn't have a pack, so Stiles doesn't get pack hugs. Stiles clearly wants pack hugs. Also, Stiles smells far too much like Scott, far too often.

Derek decides to do something about it all.

To say it’s an abject failure would be putting it mildly.

Things Stiles wished people had told him before he'd become the mate of an Alpha werewolf: gender was no barrier to having kids with an Alpha werewolf.

In which Derek is a hundred percent sure his parents never mentioned this, but then again, he was never supposed to be the alpha.

Stiles is twenty-two or twenty-three. He's been seeing Derek since high school. Lydia and Jackson are engaged; no one thinks it will last, not even Lydia.

"Stiles rolls his eyes. "What could go wrong, Dad? You nixed everything fun.""

And with that Stiles' slightly-creepy-still-mostly-just-amusing afternoon (and night) came to a dramatic, screeching halt. Because no absolutely not NO was Stiles allowed to be attracted to a stupid, pixelated avatar that was slightly influenced by Derek Hale's character. No.

How Stiles goes from run of the mill teenage boy to co-parent of a pack of unruly werewolves.

Every fandom needs a barista au. Original prompt on the kink meme: "Harvey is (still) a lawyer. Mike is the only barista that gets his coffee order right, and isn't afraid of a bit of intelligent and snarky banter."

"For two years, Stiles had very much enjoyed his position as Guidance Counselor at his old college. The pay was all right, the students who came to see him were interesting, and his work was challenging and diverse. …Or so it used to be, before some guy named Professor Hale joined the staff."

AU in which guidance counselor Stiles has to deal with all the students crushing on the elusive and infuriating Professor Hale. This was meant to be a light-hearted winter fic, but some emotional angst slipped in here and there. Rated explicit because of graphic sex.

So he takes them on a trip to the zoo, because it's a valuable learning opportunity, but also because he's hoping maybe it will tire Stiles out and the kid will actually just go home at a reasonable hour and leave Derek alone. He's hoping to get in some quality brooding time. (aka the Adorable Hand-holding fic, which I love mostly because of the zoo animals' reactions to werewolves, lol!)

"That's not coffee," Derek says, which is exactly what he'd said when Stiles had collected himself enough to move past the fact that Derek was working in Stiles's favorite coffee shop and get to the ordering part of standing in front of the counter with his mouth open. "That's—"

Stiles rolls his eyes. "Do you argue with all your customers?"

Moon's Note: The final three lines feel like they were shoe-horned in just to pander to the slash and don't fit the rest of the story. Stop reading just before that last section for a much better fic.

In which John is an actor and Rodney is a scientist who doesn't get what the big deal is.
