Programming languages used in most popular websites
The most popular (i.e., the most visited) websites have in common that they are dynamic websites. Their development typically involves server-side coding, client-side coding and database technology. The programming languages applied to deliver similar dynamic web content however vary vastly between sites.

Documentation Style Guide
The adage that no documentation is better than poor quality documentation should always be borne in mind when we write documentation. We should strive to provide accurate and current information in a clear and consistent style that is appropriate for the target audience.

Proofreading software: Spell, Grammar, Style Checkers
TL;DR The most useful so far are aspell and proselint. Both can tolerate markdown. aspell check file/path.md proselint file/path.md While software can be helpful, please do not forget about good old books. A classic book on the subject is The Elements of Style by William Strunk, Jr.. TODO: republish using gitbook. Recent finding: grammarly.

Simplified Technical English
, or Simplified English is the original name of a controlled language originally developed for aerospace industry maintenance manuals. It is a carefully limited and standardized subset of English. It is now officially known under its trademarked name as Simplified Technical English (STE). STE is regulated for use in the aerospace and defense industries, but other industries have used it as a basis for their own controlled English standards.
