Using GitHub to Power A Web Project: How and Why
Waters is using GitHub to open source her stuff. Makes a good comparison to CourseFork. It's not necessarily the next big thing but using FOSS repositories for OER is a start: "I think that GitHub Pages could make a great tool for teachers and students who are reluctant to undertake something like a WordPress install, and this is part of the larger effort that I’m committed to: folks owning their own domain. This process makes it fairly easy to create a personal landing page, if nothing else. (Although yes, it does require some basic HTML knowledge.) You could also use this process to duplicate "the look and feel" of a blog you already have and use GitHub to host static pages, such as a CV or syllabi, as a subdomain."

I'd look to for a simpler Git hub wrapper.

Musicianship Resources - Git Hosted
Interesting for two things: explanation of the practices of the flipped course, and hosting the resources as a blog on GitHub. Oh, and for the design of the materials, too.
