(Notes on) Politics, Theory & Photography
I am a political theorist with neither experience as, nor any real aspiration to be, a photographer. My interest is in the task Mitchell identifies in the passage I quote in the header. It remains, in my estimation, woefully neglected.

“WHAT WE NEED IS A CRITIQUE OF VISUAL CULTURE THAT IS ALERT TO THE POWER OF IMAGES FOR GOOD AND EVIL AND THAT IS CAPABLE OF DISCRIMINATING THE VARIETY AND HISTORICAL SPECIFICITY OF THEIR USES.” - W.J.T. MITCHELL. PICTURE THEORY (1994).

Ahbing.com — Lifestyle. Food. Experience. Fun.
Hi. My real name is Jian Ping. My friends call me Ah Bing since high school. However, you can call me Daniel. Surname is Wong.
(Wong Lee Hom is my cousin by the way)
I am mid-twenties. Fresh postgrad student from QUT, Australia. I have 4 diploma certs, 1 degree and half masters degree. And I think all of them are useless.
Dislike 9-5 jobs. Planning to earn my first million before 30 by working on few online projects. Thanks to the nature of my job, I travelled a lot. Starbucks is one of my office.
Currently resides at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Which also happens to be my hometown.
My wildest dream is to finish Sabah’s beer supply, by myself.
English is my second language, bullshitting is my mother-tongue. I am really good at it, seriously. I am sure you have noticed it by now.
I started blogging since 2004. Ahbing.com was started at 2008. Back then, most of my posts are rants. Haven’t change quite a bit until today.

Food Blog Search
Food blogs are a wonderful source of recipes, stories, and opinions about food. These blogs are the labors of love of countless people from around the world who are so passionate about what they cook and eat they spend hours photographing and writing about it. Food bloggers usually give much more information and personal touches to what they write about than commercial cooking or recipe sites. Search for a recipe among food blogs and you'll often be delighted by the hidden jewels you uncover.
Food Blog Search is a custom built search engine specifically for searching recipes in food blogs. It is intended to be a useful tool for food bloggers and for scratch cooks looking for recipes and inspiration. Food Blog Search uses Google technology, through the Google Custom Search Engine program. Started in October 2006, Food Blog Search now searches over two thousand hand-selected, high quality food blogs. More and more food blogs are added to the list of sites searched every day.

What is mnmlist.com?
It’s a site by Leo Babauta of Zen Habits.
It’s about minimalism, and why it’s important today.
It’s about stuff, and how it has come to overwhelm us.
It’s about distractions and commitments and a neverending task list.
It’s about the culture of more, of bigger, of consumption.
It’s about how less is the answer.

Photoblog

Taikors and Taikuns
Introduction

Taikors and Taikuns (T&T) aims to tell all about Malaysia's top movers and shakers of the corporate world. More accurately the 5 'W's, who, what, why, when, and where of whats happening in Malaysia Inc. Most of our stories are sourced from business dailies in Malaysia and the Asean region, however, due to our profession, we do get quite a bit 'from the grapevine'!

'Taikuns' is not a cantonese word, but derived, or rather, in this part of the world, localised reference to Tycoons in the english language.

Operated and owned by CTP Enterprise, a Media consultancy and project management company staffed by current and former journalists, T&T is keen to position itself as the place to find out what is happening in real (well, almost real) time.

sc漫画 - BlogBus.com

AllMalaysia.info - AllMalaysiaN Bloggers Project
What is the AllMalaysian Bloggers Project?
The AllMalaysian Bloggers Project, or AMBP for short, is managed by the dedicated team behind both The Star Online and AllMalaysia.info websites, the very same folks who bring you the news daily, and provide you with information at your fingertips.

The objective of this little project is to gather most, if not all Malaysian blogs under one umbrella site from which (potential) readers can find the various blogs by theme. Also, we aim to bring the blogging community together by organising various projects both online and in the real world, where you don't need to have an avatar to represent you. ;-)

Who is it for?
Malaysian bloggers. It doesn't matter where you are, but if you're a Malaysian and you blog, then you fit the bill. Your blog can be about anything - as long as it's not subversive, pornographic or in, er, bad taste. As such, your blogs will be subjected to approval before you can find it on our listing.

Chubby Hubby
This blog started as an experiment. Then it became an addiction.

In early 2005, I found myself on the steering committee for a Writers Festival. We wanted to both engage bloggers to help publicize our festival and feature some of the more popular ones on various panels. Because many of us were unfamiliar with the world of blogs, one of our fellow committee-members suggested that we start our own blogs, in order to get a better sense of what they were all about.

It wasn’t until much later did I realize that I was the only one who took the suggestion seriously and actually started one.

Tracking the most influential opinion makers and debates in business and politics | The Atlantic Wire
If you’re the kind of person who likes to stay on top of the major national debates, you probably have a browser window packed with bookmarks or an inbox crammed with RSS feeds. It’s awful clutter, but how else can you keep abreast of the latest from the commentariat, whose members, from Paul Krugman to Glenn Beck, shape the conversation and, more often than not, the policies that follow.

We want to help. The Atlantic Wire is your one-stop portal for opinion news. While other sites aggregate headlines, the Wire focuses on the columnists and commentators leading the national dialogue. Our team – editors, reporters, researchers, data-crunchers – systematically tracks hundreds of opinion-makers from newspapers, web sites, television, radio, and magazines. But we do more than just collect their views.

the truth is, super youth is a one-person company started by rebecca toh (24, singaporean, founder of Casual Poet Culture) that aims to become, eventually – in the next few decades, possibly, if i work a bit faster – the ultimate small-in-size but multi-functional sort of company that is a little strange but wonderful. possible activities include: publishing GOOD books, organizing exhibitions and gigs, representing independent artists/designers, running a store/cafe…..so many possibilities, too little time!

super youth is all about truth, love, life, honesty and expression. furthermore, it is also a little lo-fi, a little kooky, and a little too dreamy. actually, still not too sure what we’re about to become, but…..whatever it is, please join us on the ride. it might be exciting.

Ipoh Mali Talak Sombong!
When I was still staying and working in Ipoh, my hometown, my friends and I would often go out together for meal especially on weekends. A bunch of picky eaters we are, where we found ourselves often make comment on the food we had or the service of that particular establishment. No, we’re no food critic, just being passionate about food. We love to eat and of course, we would hope that wherever we go, we could get nice food that worth our hard earned money.

And then, the topic of creating a database or a web portal to gather all the information of these eateries was brought up. Everyone seems excited with plenty of ideas being thrown in but somehow, the idea never got executed until today.

But the idea initially sparked my interest to start food blogging and thus, Ipoh Mali Talak Sombong was born. After involved in the blogsphere for more than one year, I have myself a bunch of new friends who share the same passion for one thing in common – food.

With their rapid updates of roads, waypoints and point of interest, I came up with an effort to record down all the nice foods with pictures and food review after the user taste it. With the rating by myself alone, it might sound bias. So I am open for food critics comments. Hence this will improve the quality of our food hunt and tasting informations.

The Economist is asking opinion leaders from around Europe to share where they get their ideas (their ‘Thinking Space’).

Over the next few months The Economist will be featuring the best contributions in the main section of this site, alongside those of the leading personalities already featured like movie director Claudia Llosa, musician Jamie Lidell and Spotify founder Daniel Ek

If you have a blog, we would love to see what your thinking space is. To take part, all you have to do is:

* Take a picture of your own Thinking Space (it could be a picture of your desk; a beach where you wrote your last novel, or even an illustration of the inner working of your mind).
* Answer these questions.
* Feature your answers and your chosen picture in a post on your blog.
* Add the Thinking Space widget (left) to your blog post or blog column.

A Guy’s Moleskine Notebook
Keeper of the Molekine notebook. Voracious reader. A bookworm. Goof-ball. Seasoned traveller. Citizen of the world. An average guy who doesn’t belong to any scene. He just completed the graduate degree in comparative literature and is aspired to be a teacher and writer. Most likely be sighted at the local gym improving his physique if not buried in school work and the concomitant academic obligations. In short, eccentric, spontaneous, reticent, and bookaholic.

gladwell.com
I'm a writer for the New Yorker magazine, and the author of two books, "The Tipping Point: How Little Things Make a Big Difference" and "Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking." I was born in England, and raised in southwestern Ontario in Canada. Now I live in New York City.

My great claim to fame is that I'm from the town where they invented the BlackBerry. My family also believes (with some justification) that we are distantly related to Colin Powell. I invite you to look closely at the photograph above and draw your own conclusions.

RantingsbyMM - Marina Mahathir’s blog
MarinaM
... is a newspaper columnist, blogger, occasional TV and film producer, activist and general nuisance. She feels most comfortable amongst colourful characters and despite a great fondness for clothes and shoes, can't abide cocktail parties for the smart set. Most people know her by her constant talk about safe sex for HIV prevention but occasionally she also irritates some people by going on about feminism and Islam. She yearns for the days when her legs were still skinny and dreams of writing a blockbuster one day. Meanwhile she tries to be nice to husband Tara and patient with her children Ineza, Haga and Shaista.
