The group name was given to them by fans, but has probably stuck around because watching these two rock a live show together is like watching a grumpy homeless man turn into a human tornado and smash everything in sight. Separately, both men are often known for their honest, concept-heavy and carefully crafted songs. However, their heavier output has always been balanced by the fact that both emcees genuinely dumb out on some 'rap shit' every now and then, and "2BAD" is an unapologetic chance to do just that. "2BAD" is the first song released under the EBM moniker, and pays tribute to the graveyard of crumbs, trainwrecks, and also-rans that have come and gone through the years. One way or another, the Dummies have managed to Fuck Up, and "2BAD" salutes them all for the entertainment they provide.

Fun piece linked up here. My moderately amusing Biz Markie story: in the late-90s, after I'd graduated, MWC hosted Biz as a guest DJ at the Underground. I went down to see him perform and brought my old "Goin' Off" cassette for him to sign (not sure why I didn't bring my OG "Nobody Beats the Biz" 12"). I handed it to him to sign and he walked off with it for a few minutes. He was looking the tape cover all over, showing it to his boy, like he'd never seen it before. It took him about 5 minutes to write "Biz Markie" and hand it back to me. Very odd, especially given how he probably has a hundred copies of that very cassette himself (not to mention that it wasn't exactly a rare item). Beatboxing pioneer/rapper-warbler Biz Markie appeared on an episode of Bio.'s Celebrity House Hunting last night.
