Miroslav Klose Announces Retirement from Germany International Side
Like all great strikers, Klose's style isn't one that will be replicated. Germany will now seek alternative firepower as their era as world champions begins. Rather fittingly, Klose bows out having captured the ultimate goalscoring record and with the sport's most prestigious trophy to boot.

Miroslav Klose Retirement Ends Golden Germany Career for World Cup Record Holder
Klose is a rare breed of footballer, one who always put country ahead of all other endeavors. Miroslav Klose 'more than just goals'
Football magazine 11 Freunde compared Klose to a good wine, saying he "got better with every year, with a tasty finish" and added: "You will be missed -- not only because you helped Germany win the World Cup but also because you were like a good friend. You bolstered, gave hope and we could always rely on you."
