Grumpy Gamer - Stuff and Things and Monkey Island
Ron Gilbert's commentary on a Monkey Island playthrough, 20 years on. "OK, I'm going to admit that I was completely stumped by the grog puzzle. [...] I found several puzzles would give me pause because I'd remember some previous unimplemented version of them and it would throw me off track."

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (PS2)
Enjoyable - some nice, incremental improvements in the basic game mechanics, a good neon-sunshine aesthetic, and an almost complete excision of double-entendre business names, which automatically makes the game world much more adult and realistic.

Grosse Pointe Blank (1997)
Decent story of going back and moving on, sidestepping a lot of obvious scenes, with the protagonist being deadpan and matter-of-fact enough to work as a character. Had forgotten how little he avoids the question of what he does for a living.

Black Swan Green - David Mitchell
The painfully over-self-conscious life of a schoolboy stammerer in 80s Worcestershire. Bit of a mix of the authentic and the cliched, and I can't really tell what gimmick it's waiting to pull, but it's good writing.
