Grumpy Gamer - Stuff and Things and Monkey Island
Ron Gilbert's commentary on a Monkey Island playthrough, 20 years on. "OK, I'm going to admit that I was completely stumped by the grog puzzle. [...] I found several puzzles would give me pause because I'd remember some previous unimplemented version of them and it would throw me off track."

Clive Thompson on How the Next Victim of Climate Change Will Be Our Minds
"They're suffering symptoms eerily similar to those of indigenous populations that are forcibly removed from their traditional homelands. It's [that] the familiar markers of their area, the physical and sensory signals that define home, are vanishing."

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (PS2)
Enjoyable - some nice, incremental improvements in the basic game mechanics, a good neon-sunshine aesthetic, and an almost complete excision of double-entendre business names, which automatically makes the game world much more adult and realistic.

Grosse Pointe Blank (1997)
Decent story of going back and moving on, sidestepping a lot of obvious scenes, with the protagonist being deadpan and matter-of-fact enough to work as a character. Had forgotten how little he avoids the question of what he does for a living.

Cruise of the Gods (2002)
Brydon as the washed-up star of a flimsy 80s sci-fi series, being carried around Greek islands by a fan-club high priest. The bell curve of attitudes towards worshippers, and the importance of finding meaning where none exists.

Black Swan Green - David Mitchell
The painfully over-self-conscious life of a schoolboy stammerer in 80s Worcestershire. Bit of a mix of the authentic and the cliched, and I can't really tell what gimmick it's waiting to pull, but it's good writing.
