Ruby enVironment Manager looks a lot like Python's Virtualenv
I'm a huge fan of Virtualenv, nice to see something similar come to Ruby

Surlex
Smart looking URL extractor that looks way simpler than regular expressions and handles just about everything I could imagine wanting to grab from a URL for django routing. Neato.

Carolina Tartan Colors
Carolina has its own tartan! While you'll never see me in a kilt, I'm definitely going to accent some part of my wardrobe with this.

The NYTPicker looks like a fair, thoughtful critique blog focused solely on the New York Times
Unlike the multitude of mouthfrothing right wingers or woe-is-me media-is-dying types, these people clearly want the Times to be the best it can be.

The New York Times takes a look at the SousVide Supreme
A $500 temperature control system for the low temperature water bath cooking that's all the rage. This strikes me as the prosumer version of sous vide, between the DIY methods people have cobbled together and the $2000 systems you'll find in a professional kitchen

Announcing dmigrations
A "dumb" migrations tool for Django - it doesn't try to figure out changes to your models, it forces you to declare those changes. Frankly, I prefer the "dumb" model because at least I know what's happening.

John "@zuhl" Deal has an awesome writeup on how to use an SSD drive with your Mac
Use the super fast solid state drive as your boot/OS/application drive, move your home folder for all your pictures and mp3s and whatnot somewhere else. Nicely done.

When To Redis
Redis is one of several key/value stores that are so popular of late. The answer of when to us it is: "Whenever you want to store data fast that doesn't need to be 100% consistent."

Underscore.js
A rather clean helper library that provides a lot of procedural programming tools you might expect in Javascript. Abstracted really nicely so it doesn't get in the way and, in fact, can be used with Prototype, jQuery, etc.
