In addition to more power on less silicon, the Snapdragon 855 will be capable of being paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem. If Samsung opts for that — which it's expected to do — the Galaxy S10 would also be the first smartphone from the company to ship with 5G connectivity.

Samsung Chromebook Plus touchscreen stopped working - Google Product Forums
perform a Hardware Reset (also called an EC Reset). This process will not delete any files from your Chromebook like a Restore will, so it's a safe step.

Simply pushing the power button, or rebooting, does not remove the trickle charge that keeps the embedded controller (EC) running. A hard reset drops all power to the EC, so when the power comes back on it goes through a reinitialization. Since the EC controls the keyboard, touchpad, battery and all other on-board peripherals, performing this it can potentially fix a wide range of problems.

Samsung Starts Mass Producing 96-Layer 256Gb V-NAND Memory Chips
Samsung's fifth-generation V-NAND memory chips are the first in the industry to exploit the 'Toggle DDR 4.0' interface that acts as a high-speed highway for data to travel up to a speed of 1.4 Gbps between storage and memory. This is a 40% increase over the company's previous 64-layer V-NAND offering. Other performance enhancements include reduction of the data write speed to 500μs, a 30% improvement over its previous generation. However, the increase in performance is merely the tip of the iceberg. The new 96-layer V-NAND memory chips are also more energy-efficient, boasting an operating voltage of 1.2V as opposed to the previous 64-layer chip's 1.8V.

The Samsung 750 EVO (120GB & 250GB) SSD Review: A Return To Planar NAND
The 16nm TLC NAND is the successor to Samsung's 19nm TLC that had a troubled tenure in the 840 EVO. With the 840 EVO, data at rest on the drive degraded over time and eventually required the use of more thorough and thus slower error correction when read back. As a result the 750 EVO inherits the benefits of all the firmware work Samsung did to mitigate the read speed degradation. This, for what it's worth, gives Samsung some degree of a leg-up against other 16/15nm TLC drives that face the same challenges.

Samsung announces the largest SATA SSD: 4TB 850 EVO | PCWorld
In performance, the 850 EVO can’t touch drives running on the M.2, U.2, or PCIe interfaces, but for capacity it can’t be beat today.

Naturally, you want to know the price. Samsung said the list price of the 4TB 850 EVO will be $1,500 with a five-year warranty.

Samsung unveils world's first UFS memory cards — the successor to microSD | The Verge
The UFS cards have sequential read speeds of up to 530 megabytes per second — five times faster than the best microSD cards. That means reading a 5 gigabyte, full HD movie in roughly 10 seconds, says Samsung, compared to a UHS-1 microSD card which manages the same feat in around 50 seconds.

Samsung's Powerful New SSD Is Smaller Than a Stamp | News & Opinion | PCMag.com
The new SSD, which goes by the catchy PM971-NVMe moniker, is "the industry's first NVMe PCIe solid state drive in a single ball grid array package," Samsung says. Its tiny size (20mm by 16mm by 1.5mm and 1 gram) means it will fit nicely in next-generation PCs and ultra-slim notebook PCs.

Boasting read and write speeds up to 1,500 megabytes per second and 900MB/s, respectively, the PM971-NVMe can transfer a 5GB, full HD movie in about three seconds, or download it in about six.

Samsung breakthrough could lead to laptops, tablets crammed with more RAM | PCWorld
Like CPUs and graphics processors, DRAM is also getting more power-efficient as chips get smaller. The new modules will draw 10 to 20 percent less power than DDR4 memory made using the older 20-nm class process.

DDR4 memory first reached servers in 2014, and Samsung sees its faster DRAM helping large-scale server applications. In-memory application processing is a hot trend as it is faster and reduces the amount of data shuffled between storage and DRAM.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S review: This Surface Pro clone is drop-dead gorgeous | PCWorld
In the end, the Galaxy TabPro S isn’t the Surface Pro–killer some may expect it to be…but it’s an awesome little convertible, even with the keyboard’s drawbacks and the curious screen-dimming behavior. If you can look past its foibles, that OLED panel alone makes this a worthy purchase.

Samsung Galaxy S7 (Verizon Wireless) Review & Rating | PCMag.com
you'd be excused for thinking it's not a major upgrade. Rather than reinvent the design like it did last year, Samsung has focused on performance improvements in the S7, restoring crowd-pleasing features that were missing from the S6 (like a microSD slot) and boosting battery life. It's the best Android phone available in a truly one-handed form factor.

Samsung’s fancy curved monitors are the first with FreeSync over HDMI | PCWorld
Until now, FreeSync has only worked with DisplayPort, which tends to appear on more expensive monitors. (Nvidia’s rival G-Sync technology has the same limitation.) But last December, AMD vowed to open up FreeSync to HDMI, while also bringing the tech to some gaming laptops.

Samsung's speedy 750 EVO leaps into the SSD price war | PCWorld
While those prices per gigabyte aren’t unusual these days, the 750 EVO’s speeds are a bit faster than what you’d find in a typical budget SSD. Samsung is promising sequential read speeds of up to 540MBps and write speeds of up to 520MBps, thanks to the company’s TurboWrite technology that simulates more expensive SLC flash memory technology on a portion of the drive
