At Home with Roz Chast
Roz Chast published her first cartoon in The New Yorker in 1978; since then, she's had more than one thousand two hundred and seventy run in the magazine. On a blisteringly cold, recent winter morning, we rode the train to Connecticut and stepped inside her colorful and cartoon-filled home.

Small Gauge Blow-up - documentary short, TRT 10 min.
Co-directed with Simon Lund, this is an info-documentary about the process of optically blowing-up small gauge film formats to 35mm, that we did for Cineric film lab in New York. I shot this film on Super 8 film, using two cameras. One was my Nizo that ran the time-lapse, the other a Beaulieu for the sync and rest of live action. This is the full length version of the film.

Type With Pride - a new font in memory of Gilbert Baker. (With thanks to Noah Paperman for the tip)
Gilbert Baker (1951-2017) was the designer of the LGBTQ rainbow flag. This font has been designed in his memory, "for striking headlines and statements that could live on banners for rallies and protests and it is now currently being built out into a whole family of weights and styles." Let's see how long it takes for some corporate numpty to use it in a car ad.

The Average Font overlaps all typefaces installed on a system. The resulting ’ghostly’ shapes visualize the ‘essence’ and highlight similarities of the individual fonts. Licensed as key visual for EXPO 2050 at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels together with the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Punk + Swiss Modernism
Swissted is an ongoing project by graphic designer Mike Joyce, owner of Stereotype Design in New York City. Drawing from his love of punk rock and Swiss Modernism, two movements that have almost nothing to do with one another, Mike has redesigned vintage punk, hardcore, new wave, and indie rock show flyers into International Typographic Style posters.

Ornery Artist's Hand-Lettered Screeds Helped Him Keep The World At Bay (NPR)
"By all accounts, self-taught artist Jesse Howard was cantankerous. In middle of the last century, it wasn't unusual to see hand-painted signs on country roads advertising a traveling fair or a farm sale. But Howard's signs offered Bible verses. They proclaimed his anger at his neighbors and the government, and his disappointments with the world around him. "Every word I'm saying's the truth," the artist said of his work. "Every word.""
