Cipher: Seeking Wholeness
From the author of <a href="http://gominokouhai.dreamwidth.org/333501.html">yesterday</a>'s <a href="http://norasamaran.com/2016/02/11/the-opposite-of-rape-culture-is-nurturance-culture-2/">piece on attachment styles and nurturance</a>. This looks interesting.

Scott Adams: We live in a matriarchy because men have to get permission for sex | we hunted the mammoth
I'm starting to really regret liking Dilbert in the 90s. Was Adams always this nuts, or did we send him this way when we all agreed with him that workplaces were a bit odd in general?

These too are apparently now called "filter bubbles". I am okay with this because my name for them was abysmal.

"I know that I, for one, will be much less likely to mention trans at all, in any context, because the upset and anger over ‘getting it wrong’ (and it does seem there are some varying reactions, so this too is subjective) is too painful. And so we shut up. And nothing is said. And that’s really depressing."

Have you thought about being in Eastenders? | Storify
It's the wrong time of year to be a struggling actor and one's families are always quick to dispense bounteous advice. "Why don't you just write to television and ask for a part?" And of course the always lethal, "So how much longer are you going to give it before you get a real job?"

A Banned Words List for our commenters – Telegraph Blogs
The list is disturbingly familiar comedy gold, but I'm not convinced about /banning/ per se. The moment somebody uses "Zanuliebore" in a comment, it's an immediate and extremely useful indication that not a single opinion they have ever held has ever possessed the remotest scintilla of worth. You may then filter your reading appropriately, at least until the technology exists to hunt them down over Internet and werf some flammen at them until they stop.
