Building on Ashes
Awhile ago, PollyB wrote a story called Five in the Stink, in which Jim and Blair were in a relationship and Jim had an affair with at least one woman. It ended on a really depressing note and someone (possibly PollyB herself?) requested a happy resolution to the plot for the 2009 Moonridge auction. "Building on Ashes" is one possible version of that resolution, with Blair coming back to Cascade years after breaking up with Jim and accidentally running into Jim at a reception.

After sending Blair to the hospital with a concussion (which, quite frankly, I think Blair deserved, but I'm sure there's going to be varying opinions with regards to that scene), Jim takes Blair home to make sure he doesn't die in his sleep. And then he goes 'primal', which goes a long way in getting Blair over that whole concussion incident.

Conforming to Requirements by Fluterbev (NC-17)
Jim is ordered by Simon to get a guide and, rather than bonding permanently with a guide brought up for that purpose, he chooses to rent Blair (a rouge who wasn't caught by the government until he was almost thirty) with the condition that they cannot bond. Guess what they promptly do.

Denatured by Legion (NC-17)
A year or so after the end of the series, Blair is living on the streets (you'll have to read to find out why). One day he runs into Jim at an outdoor cafe, and learns for the first time that Jim's life hasn't gone so great after Blair's departure, what with the bone cancer, and the bombing of his apartment, and the loss of his job. Still, Jim's found a surprising new use for his sentinel talents and he and Blair always do best when they are together...

Out of Whack by Bone and Aristide (NC-17)
Jim and Blair are having lunch when they inadvertently overhear some women discussing how Blair has basically slept his way through the entire enrollment of Rainier. Only they're a *lot* more graphic than that. Blair, shaken by what he's heard, decides that maybe it's time to try something new. As in, a new gender. And Jim, being the good friend that he is, generously offers himself for the experiment.

No Way to Treat a... Series by Tinnean (NC-17)
