Performance · Lando Documentation
If you've ever tried to run a site with a shload of files using Docker Desktop on Windows or macOS then you've likely experienced some of the very well documented performance issues associated with doing so. Usually, these performance issues manifest themselves in slow page load times, or exceptionally long cli operations like installing a dependency or clearing an application's cache.

…The tl;dr is that users can now exclude certain directories from being shared. Depending on the amount of files you exclude this can bring your application from ugh fml to pretty close to native speed.

json - Get WP Navigation Menu from REST API V2 - WordPress Development Stack Exchange
Menus are currently not available in the WP Rest. So what you need to do is register your own custom endpoint and then just call that route from your application that needs it.

So you would include something like this (in your functions.php, plugin, wherever):

function get_menu() {
# Change 'menu' to your own navigation slug.
return wp_get_nav_menu_items('menu');
}

add_action( 'rest_api_init', function () {
register_rest_route( 'myroutes', '/menu', array(
'methods' => 'GET',
'callback' => 'get_menu',
) );
} );

Extract Media URLs from Powerpress Plugin
Enclosure field is messy, it was originally designed to have 3 lines, URL, size in bytes and content type (in that order). in 2007 another podcasting plugin had the idea to maintain this as-is, but the 4th line store additional data serialized. I recognized this as a smart way moving forward that way all the extra data is still in the one field, while providing backward compatibility to WordPress native enclosure support. PowerPress adopted this from the beginning.
