FamiTracker is a free windows tracker for producing music for the NES/Famicom-systems. The interface is based on MadTracker and should be easy to use if you've been using trackers before.

Tron Legacy 8-bit
Not only are the graphics adorable (Megaman jump!), but the 8-bit version of Daft Punk’s “Derezzed” works perfectly. I just wish it was longer.

Countercomplex: Defining Computationally Minimal Art (Or, taking the "8" out of "8-Bit")
"The defining element is LOW COMPUTATIONAL COMPLEXITY, as expressed in all aspects of the audiovisual system: the complexity of the platform (i.e. the number of transistors or logic gates in the hardware), the complexity of the software (i.e. the length in bits of the program code and static data), as well as the time complexity (i.e. how many state changes the computational tasks require). A more theoretical approach would eliminate the differentiation of software and hardware and talk about description/program length, memory complexity and time complexity."

"The MSSIAH is a MIDI cartridge for the Commodore 64.
It contains a suite of music applications that starts instantly as you insert the cartridge and start up the computer.
With these applications you can play the C64's audio circuit (SID) via MIDI or stand-alone with the internal sequencers."

Topless Robot - This Is Why No One Wants to Fight Dr. Manhattan
"Another day, another Watchmen videogame, although I'm not sure which consoles this one will be coming to. FYI, it's technically safe for work, but it's probably not safe for coworkers, unless you want them to think you're some horrible pervert or something. If you do want them to think you're a horrible pervert, there are probably more effective videos to watch, though. "
