Men Custom Suits & Custom Shirts | Tailor4Less
I like how they have taken the complicated process of measuring a suit and simplified it. We could use this as a model for doing other products, including "What is a cappucino?" Or "What is a latte?" and other such things.

A YouTube Legend Battles for His Basketball Future
Another non-standard website, almost infinite vertical scroll with full-screen pictures, big, beautiful fonts, lots of white spaces in certain areas, large video that plays when you scroll onto it, large-ish grey-on-white captions next to video, etc.

Ravish showed me WooRank.com when I told him he should have a tool that people could enter their site and get a few tips on what mistakes they've made. This is another example of a site like that. I like how it's baked right into the "contact us" form.

DJI Phantom Phantom Quadcopter with GoPro Mount DJIPHANTOM B&H
Although the site is VERY cluttered, informationally, it's a perfect example of what I envision for Computech. Specifically, take a look at the demo video. On another note, (for filmmaking-technique), watch the beginning of the video to learn how to list your company features in an action-packed, exciting way.

Hallucinating sheet music « Mind Hacks
This is the site for the book Mind Hacks. I bookmarked this because they have blog posts covering topics of interest to people who might like Mind Hacks. The blog posts consist of things like stories about hallucinations, the psychology of money, a "where are they now" on the hospital used to film One Flew Over The Cuckoos's Nest, etc. ......... Then in the right side column there are two free books, one on controlling your dreams and one on seeing your blind spot (where the optic nerve pokes through the cornea??) ------ All in all, a great site showing just how you can market a book using blogs and other content.

Run Mobile Apps on Windows with BlueStacks :: Mobile Apps on PC :: Mobile App Player for Windows | BlueStacks
website-examples = The site announces in big, bold letters at the top "Use 750,000 Mobile Apps on Windows or Mac" - perfect, removes all ambiguity about what they do. I either want to use it or I don't.

I hate going to a site and seeing endless things to click on without any clear message about what the point of the site is.

I would love to work with you
A great example of a clean, attention-getting site. Because it'll most likely change, a description:

A series of 4-6" boxes that are about 80% of page width. The page background is charcoal gray and the boxes (which are touching, no space in between them) are each a different, solid color. The text in each box is somewhere between 2 and 10 words. Connecting each box, sometimes there is a line that flows from one to the next, sometimes it has small text on it. This serves to lead the reader down the page.
Some of the boxes are only half an inch tall and have very small text.

After a brief introduction, the designer goes on to showcase some of his work. Those boxes are larger, as needed to showcase each piece.

It ends with a closing "If you agree with what I've said and you would like to give me a chance, here are some contact methods"
and it contains email, Twitter, etc links...

The boxes

Love the layout, although it's hardly groundbreaking ... combined with the look and feel (old style) it works.

The video is the centerpiece and is in the style of Old Spice guy, although not a blatant ripoff.

Ishita Gupta
I love the non-standard layout. On the left is a column of small-print text about 3 inches wide kind of giving a narrative bio. The entire rest of the page (over 12 inches wide) is whitespace (actually off-white space) with a large picture of Ishita Gupta and some initials.

If the page has changed since I bookmarked it, I took a screenshot. It's in Dropbox/Things To Save/Pics/Ishita-Gupta.jpg

TaskRabbit - Neighbors helping neighbors to get tasks, errands, and small jobs done.
I like how the big question dominating at the top and the 3 step process explained below. In my vision for Sun Parts Finder, it would be a query box where people could type free text about the part they are looking for and a JQuery script would narrow it down in a flash. (similar to Google suggestions)

Nancy Boy, Inc.
Skin care line, including lotions recommended by Seth Godin in one of his "odds and ends" blog posts. website-examples = Idea: See the "why buy from us?" link? You have to click on it to go to that page. What if our "Why buy from us?" link had a small blurb that popped up as soon as you moused over it. We could then start off the blurb by saying "See how this bubble proactively popped up before you even clicked it? That's how we are with everything. We do everything for you to make your experience with us as seamless as possible. When your order goes smoothly and it seems as if no one's broken a sweat, it's from years of putting all the right systems in place to make buying IT hardware the stress-free experience it should be."

I've always been a fan of "interactive" marketing like this. It draws the person in, makes them interact with your site - and if your product is truly a good product, it will make the customer realize that they NEED you and your product.
