How to hear LINE IN through speakers??? - Audio and Video
I keep forgetting to do this:

Type mmsys.cpl in the Start Meny search box and press Enter.

Select Recording tab. Double click on Line In.

Choose Listen tab, check Listen to this device. Choose playback through Default playback device and click Apply button.

Choose Levels tab, turn on the speaker, select volume label etc.

I had heard this before, but this is the first I'm bookmarking it (I think, hard to go back and check because Delicious sucks so bad)

Cool Tools – Pianoteq Software Piano
This synthesized piano sounds absolutely real because it's not sampled - it's modeled. It's the difference between drawing a 2D cartoon and modeling a 3D object: With 2D, you are stuck with whatever you've drawn at whatever angle and size. With 3D, you can change the angle, size, etc very easily because you've in essence created an object with all the physical properties of the real thing. It's the same with this modeled piano sound. -------------------- As the review says: "It uses a type of synthesis called physical modeling, which recreates the original instrument mathematically. In the case of the piano, this involves modeling the hammers, the strings, the soundboard, and even the pedals."
