The amazing transformation of Newark into seedy, dirty 1980's 'Gotham' for new Joker movie | NJ.com
Fiama saw a poster about this filming when she was walking to work one day and then when she was walking home, she actually saw them filming.

The photo of the poster is in Google Photos on or around 2018-10-12.

Palmco must pay $4.5M over high energy bills
I see settlements like this all the time:

"As part of the settlement, the companies did not admit any liability or wrongdoing. In a statement, Palmco said the company is a family-owned business "committed to quality customer service."

What the fuck? I hate that companies are allowed to spew this bullshit. It's right there in black and white: they ripped of their customers. They have to revise their whole business process and training procedures because they were setting predators loose on the gullible and elderly. But they get to say that they're settling because they want to focus on bullshit, bullshit, bullshit? Fuck that. Execute the owner/president/CEO/chairman and that shit will stop right quick. I hate this fucking "money trumps all" country we live in. Japan has it right. If your corporation pollutes the environment, the CEO is liable for the death penalty.

Winfield Park: born of war, a battle to build
world-records = "so small there are only two roads in and out of town." ............................. "Winfield holds a unique distinction among American towns: it's the only defense housing project to be established as a separate municipality." ............................. "For better or worse, Winfield Park was now a municipality -- the only one in New Jersey owned lock, stock and barrel by Uncle Sam."

Made in Jersey: Les Paul developed the solid-body guitar in Mahwah | NJ.com
inventions-that-killed-their-inventors = Almost killed, in this case. "The other big problem he encountered was electricity; Paul nearly electrocuted himself while working in his Mahwah apartment."....................... world-records = "Paul is the only person to be included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the National Inventors Hall of Fame." .......................... Also see comment by bobmc37: " Love the Les Paul and respect Les Paul's contributions, but he did not develop this design; he collaborated (and the degree to which he did is debatable). Ted McCarthy from Gibson probable had more to do with this model as we know it. Les Paul himself was a great guitarist, audio engineer and tinker/inventor, and his name is on it, but he was not the developer."

What is Taylor Ham and Why Does New Jersey Love It - Yahoo! Voices - voices.yahoo.com
"Other foods that the typical displaced New Jerseyan will say they miss are bagels, pizza, pushcart hot dogs, and most people from Essex County would likely mention Jimmy Buff's original Italian hot dogs. The only help for that seems to be a trip back to the Garden State, but with Taylor ham, if you're not near a supermarket that imports it, there is still hope."

Taylor ham is the brand name for pork roll. In South Jersey, they call it Taylor pork roll.

Liberty Township mudslide destroys home, badly damages two more structures | lehighvalleylive.com
It's been raining A LOT lately. Not just from hurricane Irene about 2 weeks ago, but also from the remnants of Hurricane Lee that traveled up here from Alabama/Louisiana. Lee was just rain storms by the time it arrived, not a hurricane, but after all the rain of Irene, the earth has been incredibly drenched lately.
