Razor REVAMP Service
This place seems to know what they're talking about with regard to fixing and refinishing razors.

In regards to marketing, this is exactly the kind of content that companies need to be producing.

The other good thing is that they gave the service a name "Razor Revamp" which is not known in the industry. This way, when people try to find a competing service, they A) won't find a competitor because no one is using that term and B) even when competitors (or forums) start using that term, there's always some doubts in the prospect's head about whether the service is a 1:1 comparison.

Note that I bookmarked a Shavenook.com thread on 2018-01-25 that lists various other competitors, in case you're looking for other places. It seems to say that RazorEmporium didn't do a great job and that Reliable Electroplating in Mass. can do a good job.

5 useful microwave hacks that will make you better at life
rnj-marketing-material = Good for college students

The amazing thing is that these tips were out there on blogs, infographics or other formats (i.e. this place didn't have to "invent" these hacks from scratch) - it's just that they put them in a quick, cathcy video with some upbeat music, visually appealing subtitles (for the deaf or those who are at work) and BAM! They have a viral hit.

Internet Marketing Super Friends
"I've been in this group for a few years and I've learned a lot. Never feel like I've 'given back' so tonight I want to share something that happened recently and it's been more powerful than all 'marketing' I've ever done - combined. This silly little picture that my son and I took has: - Had over 10 million views - Taken my page likes from 6,200 to over 18,000 - Added over 700 names to my email list - Brought hundreds of new members to my program - Been shared almost 170,000 times - Shown me, first person, the power of viral Maybe it'll inspire you to create something kind of fun/silly, lightly brand it, and give it wings to fly. And then again, maybe it was just a fluke."

How to Marry Text and Images – Design School | Canva
Canva is set of free online graphic design tools. ........... This tutorial is an excellent example of good content. As a matter of fact, it's just like I told Lori a long time ago: study a bunch of inspirational pictures that you like, write down the "thing" that they did in that picture and then you can use this as a template for creating your own images/text down the line. For a non-designer, it takes the "Eureka!" inspiration or magic moment out of the design process. It will never win a design award for originality, but it will certainly get views as well as getting your point across.

50 modern day 'Friends' episodes, imagined by comedians
marketing-boring-products = This is not a boring product, but all too often, we get stuck on the "standard" view of our product. Consider an offbeat angle on your boring product, like this. ..........................The entire series of "Friends" recently debuted on Netflix. I've been seeing a lot of "Friends" news lately and it just struck me that the people behind the series are putting content out there about it in order to up the views, because they probably get paid by the view. A previous news item was that someone had built a scale model of the apartment from the show. But this item is particularly interesting, because it's re-imagining the show in a new way. Coming up with content like this can help push something that already has legs (like "Friends" which has a huge, nostalgic following) into a whole new stratosphere.

Juicing Assistant
An animated, interactive juicer that you can put fruits and vegetables into. When you float over each ingredient, it tells you the positive benefits of that item. After you add 1-6 items and hit "Blend", it tells you the calorie content, sugars and carbs, as well as "Good source of: Fibre, Vitamins, Antioxidants, etc"

Test Your Lying Skills With This 5-Second Quiz [VIDEO]
A trailer video for Richard Wiseman's "59 seconds" - Great example of a proper way of marketing. Not only did they teach something engrossing from the book, but they made it very specific. They didn't bother trying to cram 30 lessons from the book into 60 seconds. They showed one simple thing that makes you go "huh!" and that makes you want to know more.

Why businesses fail when they use Hubspot inbound marketing software.
Great article that ranked 5 or 6 on Google front page after a search I did for HubSpot Inbound Marketing Guide. I've seen this tactic a few times - write a negative sounding article. The beginning starts negative, but by the end, they are endorsing the product, although along the way, they have told you that you need to spend time and use the product in order to be successful.
