Gap Creative :30 Non SAG + GAL (US-English) - YouTube
I like how the energetic music, the dynamic videos, yet the message they want to convey is right there. If I had been tasked with this, I would have done some slow, boring thing, trying to fit in the message. This is a breath of fresh air - a new language, almost.

Charm Offensive - Jon Buchan
filmmaking-technique = Not exactly, but it will help me find this since I don't often check "marketing-boring-products"

"How to stand out and reach your target audience in a 'serious', heavily regulated industry & a few lessons in persuasion from Better Call Saul.

The YouTube channel, LegalEagle, started off by publishing videos to help law students negotiate the world of law school.

He was doing OK. Showed up consistently. Delivered useful content...

Then he took a chance...

He started publishing videos where we would analyse movies or TV shows containing courtroom scenes for legal realism.

He even did this with the absurd courtroom scenes from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

The result is both entertaining and educational, even for laymen like me.

He's making a difficult subject easier and more fun to understand.

What a superb way to build an audience as a lawyer, especially considering he now offers mastermind packages to help law students succeed.

I've attached the video containing his analysis of the courtroom scenes in the first episode of Better Call Saul.

If you enjoyed it, and want to watch his analysis of other shows, check out LegalEagle on YouTube. I'll add a link in the comments :)

Kitchen Elite Premiere YouTube Version - YouTube
Kitchen Elite commercial. I saw this as a weather report pre-roll or something. I had to hunt it down because it's crazy to me how people will pay tons of money for a commercial like this that does NOTHING to stand out. I could do a Harmon Brothers-inspired version of this video for Melanie's employer "Broadway Kitchens & Baths" (https://www.facebook.com/bwaykitchens/) that would blow.

Martial Arts March! - Album on Imgur
I like how it analyzes John Wick: "For years, action movies were unwatchable. Filmmakers imitated the style of The Bourne Supremacy to hide bad stunt work and sloppy fight choreography by shaking the camera and cutting quickly between shots. The upshot was that you couldn't tell what the hell was going on in fight scenes and chase sequences. Then came John Wick, the best American action movie in over a decade. Violent, stylish, and sometimes humorous, the film was a career come-back for its star, Keunu Reeves, who was no stranger to the genre. While John Wick is a neo-noir, it is also a martial arts film. John Wick employs a lethal combination of jiu-jitsu and Gun-Fu, using joint manipulation to ground his opponents and point-blank gunshots to finish them off. The way that Wick uses firearms in close-quarters emphasizes that his gun is an extension of his fighting style. The fights are captured with a clarity that action cinema hadn't seen in some time (with ...)

Zero G Anti-Gravity iPhone Case - Available on Kickstarter - YouTube
Harry Price posted on Internet Marketing Super Friends: " How to Sell Without Selling A case study about turning desire into demand. Hey, Supers. This is a link to a video: Zero G Anti-Gravity iPhone Case - Available on Ki…: http://youtu.be/VDWfn5ej2uo I'm not affiliated to this Kickstarter campaign. I've also never been so excited to buy a PRODUCT (the iPhone 6) from reviewing a video for a PRODUCT ACCESSORY. This video has it all. How can you learn from it? Here's a few ways I noted below. #1: It shows REAL average people doing normal, average, everyday things while using the accessory to make experiences more intuitive. #2: It has an upbeat song that encapsulates the mood of the experience, so you literally feel like you want to be a part of the craze. #3: There's no 'selling' involved, except for creating desire to be like one of the individuals who seems to be enjoying their purchase. Buying power is a strong force."

'Wisdom': How Dodge spun old into gold
Awesome commercial. Clips of people born around 100 years ago, giving wisdom "Live for now", "Never, ever forget where you came from", "Life is beautiful", etc... it gets slightly more aggressive as time goes on, culminating in "Life fast", "Put the pedal to the metal", etc with footage of a Dodge Challenger spinning out "You learn a lot in 100 years. Dodge, born 1914."

▶ Tylenol Commercial - YouTube
Over the counter drugs like this are rife for studying how they position their product, because by law, all of these drugs (Tylenol and generics) have to have the same active ingredient, which essentially makes this a commodity product. If you ever thought your product was boring or "me too", you can't get any more so than Tylenol, Advil, Bayer, etc... Possibly, POSSIBLY bottled water, but at least those come from different sources and could be marketed on taste, "untouched" sources or things like that.

You probably sound like a big phony during job interviews
I like how they did the split screen thing, but I think they could have accentuated the point by making the version of the on the right (the "bad" person) look like a disheveled version of the person on the left. For example, on the left, clean, neat looking person, on the right, messy hair, tie loosened, dress unpressed, etc. ..... Also, not that every bad person on the right should have been disheveled, but more that their physical appearance should have more closely matched the persona of what they were doing wrong. For example, the "I didn't bring my resume" or "Sorry I'm late" people could have looked disheveled, but the "stalker" guy could have looked like a slightly creepier version of himself (greasy hair, unshaven, shifty eyes, creepy posture leaning in, head hunched like a hermit) ..... So it's not just messing with their outfit, but also posture, tone of voice, slouching, leaning back, cocky swagger, etc that you can play with.

filmmaking-technique = Interesting how the video is sped up and he just talks over it. He could have made this a 30 minute video if he didn't speed it up and explained each thing has he did it, but he chose to speed up the video and talk over it, sort of "glossing" over the process, opting instead for a high level overview of what is going on.
