HOW TO SELL A COURSE BEFORE YOU CREATE IT!!!
february 2018 by daguti
"HOW TO SELL A COURSE BEFORE YOU CREATE IT!!!
STEP 1. Decide on the ultimate benefit people will get from your course.
STEP 2. Name your course and INCLUDE the benefit in the name.
EXAMPLES..
100 Days to 100K
Experts Academy
GURU School
STEP 3. Come up with 4 or 6 or 8 main pieces of content you will teach. (MODULES) (MILESTONES) (STEPS)
STEP 4. Under each module, write out all of your content. This will include instruction, examples, checklists, bullet points, and action steps.
STEP 5. CREATE your WELCOME video for your course. In this video you will go over each module and talk about what you are going to be teaching.
STEP 6. Create your AD / WEBINAR by using the outline you have created. At the end of the webinar offer your course. When they BUY, direct them to the WELCOME video and tell them the course will start in 10 days.
STEP 7. Create your FIRST module. Deliver each module on Sunday night so they have access on Monday. If you like you can do a LIVE Q and A call on Wednesday or Thursday.
STEP 8. Just create ONE module per week and deliver it. Each week your clients will get a NEW module and live Q and A if you offer that.
STEP 9. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR COURSE.. Now you can RE RELEASE the course every 6 or 8 weeks or you can just offer it as a home study and let people consume all the content at once.
STEP 10. RINSE AND REPEAT!!! BUILD YOUR EMPIRE!!!!"

Mitch Miller - You don't have to create a business from scratch....
november 2017 by daguti
business-ideas: "You don't have to create a business from scratch.
Do most people making money in real estate buy raw land and build? Or do they capitalize on what is already built?
Same thing here. It's possible to rehab businesses, buy businesses, flip businesses, help out in businesses for free and eventually own them.
In America, 10,000 baby boomers are turning 65 every single day... Many of these people are entrepreneurs and many of them have family who do not want to take over the business.
Opportunity is everywhere.
You can go to Flippa dot com and buy online businesses already making money.
You can go to brokers and buy/get loans for existing businesses (btw, a huge client getting tip for you marketers is to get access to the lists of businesses for sale with brokers and hit them up for marketing services... many of them would be willing to hear your pitch)
You can go to existing businesses and offer to build an extension and new arm to their company.
You can go to companies and work for free and slide in as partner.
Many things you can do, you don't have to start one from scratch."

I had this idea 10 or so years ago, called "Try Our Best" - the tagline was something like "We may not be professionals, but we always try our best." In hindsight, that might have been a bit too humble and "Text and it happens automagically" (summary of what these guys are using) might be better. .............. inventions-that-became-something-else = Towards the end: ""Twitter came out of another company that was doing something completely different. Seek Thermal's New Smartphone Camera-App Combo Lets You 'See' the Heat
september 2014 by daguti
Cops use the cover of night to catch speeders, but their engines are on so they can chase you as soon as you speed by them. This means the car would be hot as compared to the surrounding area. Would be good to write an add-on app for this thermal camera that lets you spot cop cars lying in wait at night. ......................... "Next year, the company will release an SDK for third-party developers to create their own apps that leverage Seek Thermal’s technology."

Scared Someone Will Laugh at Your Ideas?
april 2014 by daguti
Not really anti-something, but the article talks about why people will always shoot down your ideas. ---------------------------------------------- Also, when people ask me to give them feedback on their ideas, I am typically very honest - and I follow up that advice with "But don't take my word as the be-all-end-all. I would have bet against Google when Yahoo was king and against Starbucks when Dunkin Donuts was king." ---------------------------------------------- "When young drivers are starting to race, this is one of the most critical lessons that they learn. When you’re driving at 200mph you need to focus on the road in front of you. If you look at the wall, then you’ll end up hitting it. Focus on what you have to do rather than what people have to say about it."

some examples: A reverse ebay where people post what they want and firms compete to give the best price. .......... Two types of car horn: a friendly toot and an angry honk. .......... "None of the above" in the election, and if that wins, the election is reheld with new candidates. .............. Edible staples to keep your burrito closed. ............ Every cop is required to wear GoPro camera at all times on duty, with video publicly available to everyone. ....... Microwaveable items should have QR codes that tell the microwave what do to automatically. ....... A gym where you pay $1 each day that you DON'T go. ....... The idea was included in a list of 14 faculty members’ predictions for 2012.
Craig E. Armstrong, assistant professor of management at Alabama, said someone will offer an “app” that performs “Craigslist” functions for the exchange of goods and services. (Aren’t there a dozen, or six dozen, of those already?)
“Need to find someone to paint your house? Check the app. Want to earn some extra money by applying a skill you have? The idea that there is a lot of money to be made in "putting the waste to use" has legs. This is similar to the story that Butler told me once of the sawmill that was in danger of going out of business until they swept up all the sawdust (waste) from cutting logs and packed it into bricks and sold them as firestarter logs.

I had this idea a long time ago. His light blinks when he hits the brake, but it only blinks 2-3 times. My idea is to blink the light rapidly for at least 1 second followed by a solid red light. Also, it would be best if the blinking increased in speed in accordance with how much deceleration is taking place. Slow deceleration = short, slow blinks. Quick deceleration = a long period of rapid blinking.

This is the beginning of the idea I've had for a long time where police can throw down a "blackout cube" at a crash scene to project a big blanket of blackness over a crash scene, thereby avoiding rubberneckers slowing down traffic. Warning: It could also have negative uses, such as cops throwing up a blanket of blackness as they beat up a suspect... Perhaps the technology should be made so that naked eye sees blackness, but videocamera, etc sees through it. Or possibly has a built-in recording device that cannot be tampered with.

"For content to be fabulous, for tablets to be more than game platforms, folks like Apple need to do two things:
* Reward creators instead of taxing them.
* Create promotional channels so that curated great stuff (not merely things from big companies) has a chance to reach a mass audience."

Ideas are a dime a dozen. The money is in the execution. Need proof? For Seth Godin's Alternative MBA program, this week the nine of us came up with 111 business ideas each. But ideas are only valuable when someone (like you) makes something happen. What follows are our 999 business ideas, free for the taking. 1. Prepackaged school supplies based on the lists from the school districts 2. Incubator site providing office space, hosting, etc. for startups that are seed funded. 3. In-grocery store prep service (buy vegetables first and drop them off to be chopped to your specs - pick them up on the way to checkout) 4. A website that you can submit your design and work with vendors to manufacture your own clothes line. 5. Online discount brokerage that has no closing hours and provides access to all exchanges throughout the world and handles currency and legal issues automatically.
