“I was wrong, okay?” He was muffled by the couch cushions, and for a second Grantaire thought he heard wrong because holy shit, did Enjolras just admit that? “You were right, and I didn’t see it at first but now I do, so thank you for that. I’ve seen the fucking light, Grantaire’s a genius, and now you’ve gotten what you came for and can leave me alone.”

Grantaire has never exactly been gentle with Enjolras’ feelings, and it might be time to rethink that approach. Or, in which Enjolras is secretly insecure, Grantaire is not very perceptive, and Combeferre is, of course, always right.

Intoxicating, if he’s feeling pretentious. And honestly, when is he ever not. “Pretty boy power prodigies like you benefit from this ’oppressive system’.”

“Grantaire,” Bossuet whispers frantically. “You maybe wanna, uh. Cut it out.”

He wants to do no such thing, thank you very much. He’s on a roll. But then he notices the telltale scent of smoke in the air. He notices the wisps of it coming from Enjolras’ clenched fists. Ah. Whoops.

Enjolras doesn’t like the Powered education system and Grantaire doesn’t even have a power. Together, they don’t fight crime, obviously. They mostly try their best not to burn the school down. Sky High AU.

Grantaire is just about to usher him out, because the room is starting to smell like Enjolras, and he shouldn’t be reacting so viscerally to that fact, he barely knows this boy, still doesn’t even know if he’s gay, when his eye falls on his open sketchbook. The preliminary sketches for Grantaire’s collection are still there, splashed across the page, and Grantaire suddenly has an idea. “If you really – if you really want to make it up to me, there is something you can do.”

Enjolras looks like Grantaire’s offered him a lifeline – he obviously doesn’t like being wrong, obviously is never in the wrong, doesn’t know how to behave. “What is it?” he asks slightly breathlessly.

“I want you to model for my collection,” Grantaire says.

 (OR: Grantaire and Montparnasse are studying menswear at art school, Enjolras is the non-identical twin Montparnasse never mentioned, and everything in Grantaire's life goes to shit pretty quickly.)

oooooh, i would love a exr shortie where e has to...
Enjolras goes to clubs.  It’s not especially common knowledge, because he’s usually too busy, but whenever Courfeyrac feels like it’s necessary, he’ll drag Enjolras out to a nightclub, pour a few shots into him, and turn him loose for a few hours with instructions to not think too much.  This time, it’s a group outing, all of Les Amis laughing and tactile with alcohol, hands on arms and cheeks flushed with the triumph of their latest protest.

A boy stood in the doorway, frozen under their stares. He had an artful mess of inky curls about his face, and was looking up at them with sharp, dark eyes. His lips parted in something caught between shock and fear, probably at being suddenly pinned under such scrutiny.

After a few seconds of uncomfortable silence, the boy opened his mouth as if to say something, but soon thought the better of it. He turned around quickly, and walked out again, shutting the door behind him.

I feel like this crossover needs an explanation. I’ve had this sitting half-finished my hard drive for since I moved two years ago. On the flight home, the shuffle button on my iPod decided to bounce back and forth between Les Mis and The Scarlet Pimpernel musical. My half-asleep brain decided to spin visions of a crossover.

I tried to ignore the dreams, I promise. But when I went to watch The Scarlet Pimpernel (1982) on youtube – thinking that it would burn the idea out of my system – but I kid you not, one of the comments declared that Aaron Tveit (Enjolras) was a look-a-like for Anthony Andrews (The Scarlet Pimpernel).

After that, I just couldn’t stop myself.

For most of college, Grantaire was hopeless over Enjolras, and everyone but Enjolras knew it. Now he’s worked to get over his crush, and for the most part, he's fine. When Combeferre asks him to choreograph and dance in the Midsummer Night’s Dream-inspired opera he composed as his senior thesis, Grantaire says yes, even though he’s cast opposite Enjolras, as Puck to his Oberon. The chance to dance is worth the potential problems, and he'll have his friends as a buffer.

He doesn't count on long hours of practicing and choreographing and talking together, while they try to figure each other and their futures out. As much as he tries to avoid it, it seems inevitable that he falls for Enjolras again, and this time it isn't a crush.

When the first monster rose from the ocean and attacked San Francisco, Jean Prouvaire was so high he didn’t realise what he was watching on the TV. Grantaire dreams about gunfire, and fingers twined warmly with his own, and he paints and he paints yet can never get the images out of his head. Images of a blond man, always surrounded by red – red jacket, red flags, red blood – who shines like the sun and calls to Grantaire like a siren.

For days, this goes on; this… fixation on this man he’s never met, never seen; these flashbacks of memories he hasn’t lived. And then he runs into a man whose blond hair shines golden in the sunlight and who stares at Grantaire with a slack jaw and wide eyes and who says haltingly, “I… I know you.”

It’s a Friday night and the library is almost empty. Enjolras and Grantaire are basically alone at their customary third floor table, save Courfeyrac, asleep on a pile of books at a window seat, and Jehan, curled up next to him, still working on his final project. Enjolras doesn’t have many regrets about grad school but sometimes, on nights like these, he thinks it would be nice to spend his Fridays with Grantaire in places with less florescent lighting, or at least chairs that weren’t made of plastic.

One day she's discovered by the jedi Jean Valjean who recognises her instantly as the daughter of Fantine, a powerful jedi killed by Darth Vader, and adopts and trains her but they're tracked down by the Empire's forces and Valjean is killed in a fight with Vader, causing her to flee (part 1 of many - i'm sorry)
