Hydrogen storage for German renewables
7 weeks ago by chrisjj
Germany is planning to depend more and more heavily on renewable energy sources, mainly wind with some solar. To cope with times of insufficient supply either large amounts of energy must be transmitted from place to place or surplus energy must be stored for later use.
The favoured solution is to generate and store hydrogen gas which can then be burned in a gas turbine power station.

Higgs Boson at last? Maybe!

CERN's Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has strong evidence of a particle between 124 and 126 GeV. This could well be the long sought Higgs boson. Spacex's Dragon to dock at ISS

If it all goes to plan it will be the first docking at ISS by a commercial company and it will open the way for a regular series of commercial flights. NASA has plans to buy several flights annually for delivery and return of cargo.
