ASUS ZenBook UX32VD Review
the touchpad on the UX32 was pretty bad out of the box. Sensitivity was lacking, some of the multitouch gestures wouldn’t work and sometimes even the left and right mouse clicks didn’t register. Thankfully, all of these problems were corrected soon after we received our review unit thanks to a touchpad driver update that was sent via the preinstalled ASUS Live Update software.

Lenovo unveils a tablet with a projector and the thinnest Yoga laptop yet | Ars Technica
Yoga 3 Pro - The 13.3-inch screen has a 3200×1800 resolution, and is coated with Gorilla Glass. The Core M-70 processor is a 2 core, 4 thread part which can run at up to 2.6GHz. It is matched with up to 8GB RAM, and up to a 512GB SSD. Connectivity comes from 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.01, and there's a 720p camera. The system weighs a svelte 2.62lbs and is half an inch thick. It runs for up to nine hours per charge. It too will be available at the end of the month, starting at $1349.

The Yoga 3 Pro continues this trend, with a new hinge that Lenovo says is hand-assembled from 800 individual parts, and modelled after a watch band.

Novena | Crowd Supply
All configurations will come with Debian (GNU/Linux) pre-installed, but of course you can build and install whatever distro you prefer!

This is not a machine for the faint of heart. It's an open source project, which means part of the joy – and frustration – of the device is that it is continuously improving. This will be perhaps the only laptop that ships with a screwdriver; you'll be required to install the battery yourself, screw on the LCD bezel of your choice, and you'll get the speakers as a kit, so you don't have to use our speaker box design – if you have access to a 3D printer, you can make and fine tune your own speaker box.

Our Favorite Laptops for Photographers, Videographers and Creative Professionals
Apple’s machines were significantly more expensive, we are talking 2 to 3 times as much as their PC counterparts. However, we didn’t mind so much given that their hardware was top-notch. We have rarely if ever had hardware issues with Apple computers. That in and of itself was amazing.

The problem when we switched to Apple was that it was too sudden. We had established a workflow and switching to an operating system that none of us were comfortable using was like throwing a wrench into the cogs of a massive machine. Productivity came to a stand still as we were frequently trying to figure out the operating system itself. I know it sounds silly given that Apple is supposed to be incredibly simple, but it isn’t really that simple when you have used Windows/PC your entire life.

We purchased another Asus, then another. Now in the studio we have two G73SWs, we have four G74SXs and now we have our 7th computer in the series, the G75VW. We haven’t had any major issues with any of these mac

The UX31A are all Asus "Zenbook Prime" which features IPS FHD display and SSD drives, and Ivy Bridge CPU.

UX31A-XB52: CPU is Ivy Bridge I5-3317U 3rd gen CPU, 256GB SSD with TPM, Windows 7 Professional

Turn your iPad into a netbook sized MacBook Pro with this awesome case | 9to5Mac | Apple Intelligence
Japanese blog Macotakara pointed us to the “NoteBook Case” for iPad, but by “notebook” the website really means a MacBook Pro clone. The case packs a built-in Lithium-polymer battery that allows you to charge the iPad while in use. It also features a USB port, mini USB port, and Bluetooth for the keyboard. The case is available through Japanese retailer Rakuten for 5,980 yen (or roughly $75), so it could land in Rakuten’s United States-based in the near future. It is made specifically for iPad 2, but most cases should work with the third-gen iPad due to the tablets’ small difference in thickness. Go past the break for a full gallery.

Dad Addresses Viral Laptop Shooting Over Daughter's Facebook Post [QUOTES]
Jordan goes on to say that exploiting the media glare would send his daughter the wrong message “that it’s OK to profit at the expense of someone else’s embarrassment or misfortune, and that’s not how I was raised, nor how she has been raised.” Jordan says in the post that he will make any further comments through his Facebook page, not through the media. “My daughter isn’t hurt, emotionally scarred, or otherwise damaged,” he writes, “but that kind of publicity has never seemed to be to have a positive effect on any child or family.”
