Great Big Library of Everything - TV Tropes
A library that contains practically any possible/conceivable information source known to man or some other intelligent/sapient species, if not a multitude of intelligent species. This labyrinthian library seems to be a natural breeding spot for MacGuffins and it has just about all of life's secrets and answers. The Great Big Book of Everything, Big Book of War, Reality-Writing Book, Portal Book, Tome of Eldritch Lore, and Chronoscopes along with other things can all be found here. Because of its wealth of knowledge, the library is a very valuable information resource for the main cast. May be a Magical Library as well, which could go a long way into justifying its often unreal/absurd level of comprehensiveness.

Western Fiction Review
For years and years I've been a reader - and collector - of western fiction, mainly from series. Sometime ago I was persuaded to write reviews and these are now appearing here. Along with these reviews you'll also find interviews with authors and cover artists.

Best Science Fiction Books | #1 Guide to the best science books, games, movies, and more! The web's #1 Guide to the best science fiction books. Comprehensive subgenre recommendation lists from the best Space Opera to the best Cyberpunk
It's a jungle out there in the world of Science Fiction, and like the Fantasy book genre, there's a lot of crap to sift through. Due to popular demand, we've created a dedicated sister site to that's only about Science Fiction.
It's our goal to do our best to aid in your search for the best Science Fiction novels. Some of these choices on the lists are well known, genre defining classics and others are a bit more obscure. But every one of these science fiction books is a rip-roaring read for one reason or another.

Has both possible readalikes and member reviews. Search for a keyword; on the next screen you'll have the option of doing a tag search or other searches. The tag sear, for instance, comes up with the books most tagged with that tag. Very helpful.

10 Essential Books from the Last 25 Years
The Guardian recently ran an article in which Rick Gekoski remarked on the disappearance of essential cultural books. He argued that a few decades ago, “there was a canon, which wasn’t limited to Shakespeare, Jane Austen and Scott Fitzgerald. You could assume people had read the hot contemporary books; when they hadn’t, it occasioned not merely puzzlement, but disapproval.” Well, Mr. Gekoski, we beg to differ. Here’s a short list of books that have found a place in Generation X’s (and for that matter, Y’s and W’s, too) common culture; books that people know about, relate to, and converge around, all from the last 25 years.
