Nice rough reference of of minerals in seawater, which could be captured via massive filtering. Gold doesn't look good, but Rubidium and Phosphorus don't look horrific...

Floating Solar Technology At Sea - SolarSea™. Roof Solar for islands
Appears to be providing solar panels mounted on floats, for use in shallow saltwater lagoons, unlike most floating PV which is on freshwater

SaltX Technology - Energy storage with nano coated salt
2 tank, 2 reactor setup. Use electricity (but actually just input heat) to charge in one reactor. Extracting energy in the other reactor creates heat (and cold?). It seems to be basically boiling saltwater, but their nano-coated salt prevents caking that would clog the charging reactor.

Open Research: Bubbles, Thin Films and Ion Specificity
Somebody did a whole Ph.D in saltwater bubbles. Because it's a much deeper topic than people give it credit for.

Innovative lithium recovery technique from seawater by using world-first dialysis with a lithium ionic superconductor
More seawater mineral mining tech from japan. This follows on the heels of uranium collection membrane tech. Good source of brine+electricity would be an open cycle OTEC exhaust...

Fueling the Fleet, Navy Looks to the Seas - U.S. Naval Research Laboratory
Pretty compact skid mounted synthetic jet fuel maker. Unfortunately, this is really only practical with an all electric ship/navy, particular ones powered by nuclear power. Well, unless ports allow docked oilers/ tankers to consume huge amounts of shore power...

Interesting LED lamp that uses saltwater and sacrificial electrodes to generate power. A sacrificial magnesium rod works with salt water (such as ocean water) to create current to power the LED light. Fill the lamp once with seawater to get 8 hours of light apparently (need to swap salt water at that point due to chemistry). The sacrificial rod is good for 120 hours of use, though you probably should flush the thing with freshwater and dry it out for storage.

Solar pond tower for 5 €ct/kWh - GreenIdeaLive
Interesting tricks here, using outlet air temps to provide condensation water to potentially feed a water turbine down blow, desalination, and possibly a downdraft tower as well.

Stanford researchers use river water and salty ocean water to generate electricity
This is not an osmotic pressure power generator, rather a battery with flushable electrolytes that determine if it is in a charge or discharge phase. The added trick is using nanorods to increase the electrode area. Salinity is key here, meaning it doesn't have to be really clean freshwater, but the battery prefers brine over saltwater or brackish water. Hrm, I wonder if you could do this as secondary power generation for water desalination plants located on rivers next to oceans or salt lakes, using freshwater sources and desalination output brine?

Hold the salt: UCLA engineers develop revolutionary new desalination membrane / UCLA Newsroom
Interesting use of plasma treatment to make a microscopic polymer brush/fiber layer to sweep the desalination membrane surface as a physical approach to membrane maintenance (as opposed to typical chemical cleaning or flushing by reverse flow). Since this is an atmospheric pressure plasma treatment, I wonder if this could be applied as a form of antifouling treatment for fixed marine/ocean structures, such as barges, piers, oil rigs, and other structures where drag isn't much of an issue...
