Microsoft Removes 260-Character Path Length Limit in Windows 10 Redstone
This might become problematic for some security software, as they will have buffer overflows. NTFS itself supports something like 32K length paths, but win32 API has assumed until now 260 characters in many places...

Interesting method for electric motor design, which uses tricks to "steer" a magnetic field away from one magnet to assist another one close by to boost flux, in a pulsed sort of approach. Related to switched reluctance motors?

Constant connection
Interesting research about cellphone movement path prediction to optimize network connection handoff and connection power control, using the mobile unit (in this case a cellphone with GPS) to advertise to the base station its location so that a base station/cell network that is multi tower location aware and proactively handoff signals to other towers. This would be good in travel corridors such as public transit and highways where people are moving a lot. This would go hand in hand with that recent hardware announcement of base station tower hardware that offloads baseband calculations to a central datacenter, turning the entire cell network into a managed distributed antenna array, which by design will be at least location aware of its towers for cooperative forced handoff for load leveling in multi tower visible LoS situations. Sniffing the location information of endpoint devices, which is currently government mandated, to enhance the overall network capabilities is a logical step.

Path — Introducing The Personal Network
Trying to reintroduce the "tribe" mentality online, which modern life and technology has tended to strip away. To a certain extreme, it's a very Apple way of doing things (reduce flexibility for clean and easier to use interfaces)., but the short truth is it's a personal social network darknet based on the assumption that members are reasonably trusted to not betray the group. Which really only works in a short range "tribal" setting (likely geographically close, socially close, and to a lesser degree composed of extroverts).

Services for UNIX - Interoperability : Services for UNIX vs Windows Server 2003 R2 UNIX Interoperability
SFU 3.5 in windows 2003 seems to have a bug, so accessing a NFS share from My Networks fails due to "Network path not found" if the NFS export has folder characters in it. But if you mount the export as a network drive instead of directly accessing it via explorer from My Networks, it works. GRRRRRRRRR. Oh, and windows 2003 R2 doesn't seem to have this problem at all.
