Sorta builds a social media newspaper about you, from entered/registered/inferred sources. Unfortunately, it's a usability trainwreck. But, I can see why some people think this has value (those would be the same people who both don't use RSS feeds, and dislike subtitled movies...). Ultimately, they are trying to do something like Flipboard on a computer, but that precisely fails because there is no touch interface on most PC's.

our man in abiko: Days numbered at the Daily Yomiuri
I'll be honest, I haven't picked up a DY print edition in years. Their website is also a lot of reprint stuff and yet is sadly lacking in content. About the only redeeming feature is the nice dollar-yen historical graphs. Mainichi Daily News has sucked since they neutered the WaiWai hysterical reprints of japanese tabloids (I never understood what the huff was about, since the japanese themselves already printed the trashy stuff in japanese language tabloids, yet they suddenly turn into prudes if it gets translated for the whole world to see and understand...)
