Tilt Five – Bringing Tabletop Games to Life
Some people think this might be interesting as a data visualization sandbox (literally, as in those sand based visualizations showing topography)

Accessorize to a Crime: Real and Stealthy Attacks on State-of-the-Art Face Recog...
Using tweaked glasses which present some fake facial features due to overlay on the thick frame, it might be possible to adversarially fool face recognition systems (potential "I am Sparticus" effect) but the researchers cheated a bit and did the overlay glasses on an existing picture, rather than live humans wearing real defensive glasses.

EnChroma | Color For The Color Blind
Uses an optics trick originally used for laser protection goggles for laser surgery, it filters out precise wavelengths (yellow notch filter) that cause simultaneous red/green cone stimulation in colorblind individuals with that type, leaving the rest to be properly sensed by the respective cones.

Interesting AR glasses, possibly using Primesense/Kinect sensors. Steve Mann is their Chief Scientist, so it shouldn't suck too much. But if they have Steve, why not an Eyetap?

I think this uses some sort of holographic mirror lens assembly, considering one of the optics developers worked on aviation helmet display systems?

Interesting AR eyeglasses concept. Basically, expand the traditional tracking capabilities of AR headgear. In this case, a Kinect type sensor mounted above otherwise conventional see through HMD glasses. Though if the Leap Motion trackers live up to the hype, I would think they might be a better alternative to capturing user hand gestures for AR GUI controls.

Concept for enhanced peripheral vision using fresnel lens edge pieces. This is such a "Duh, why didn't I think of that?" type of simple human sensory enhancement. Which of course makes me wonder about what if any drawbacks exist, and any military/tactical benefits...
