Wearable cockpit is an interesting nomenclature, for an AR HUD.

Det virtuella tangentbordet kan snart bli verklighet | Mälardalens högskola
Unconventional virtual keyboard, requires an AR system like Google Glass to see the keyboard, and the bracelets provide the finger and gesture tracking (actual tracking, like a bluetooth motion sensor). I could swear I've seen those bracelets before on a crowdfunding campaign...

MYO - The Gesture Control Armband
Interesting hardware that tries to detect lower arm muscle contraction consistent with hand gestures as a means of handsfree gesture control. Bluetooth, but it looks like it needs gesture interpretation software so it isn't using a standard HID profile probably.

Interesting AR eyeglasses concept. Basically, expand the traditional tracking capabilities of AR headgear. In this case, a Kinect type sensor mounted above otherwise conventional see through HMD glasses. Though if the Leap Motion trackers live up to the hype, I would think they might be a better alternative to capturing user hand gestures for AR GUI controls.

- GestIC® Technology Design Center | Microchip Technology Inc.
Seems to detect movement within 6 inches of the antenna. So, something that moved really slowly, or stayed at a stable orientation, won't be detected, but it is good enough for basic gesture recognition. RF based, no cameras or ultrasound, suitable for embedded surfaces as an input source.

Ultrasound Gesture Recognition - Elliptic Labs
Interesting touchless interface, based on ultrasound sensor mapping of hands in a space near the screen. Hardware dependent, but so is Leap or Kinect based systems. But, embedding the ultrasound mics and transducers in the edge of a display is a lot easier.

RISR – Take the Step to a Better You
Interesting device for assisting in interpersonal interactions. The vest basically has vibration motors at key points on the body to give cues about what postures/gestures/orientations you should be taking. It also seems to have an IR camera located near the collar bone junction just below your neck for scanning the orientation and reactions of people facing you. Since it works with a social interaction calculation engine on your phone, I guess what this means is the device is some sort of bluetooth composite device, with the IR video transmitted to the phone for analysis of body orientation and facial expressions, then feeding back to the vest motor commands to give you gesture/posture cues.

LEAP Motion
Initially people thought it may be using a time-of-flight image sensor to do the 3D mapping, but someone said, the current state-of-the-art (and heavily patented) systems only allow centimeter scale motion accuracy. There guys claim millimeter scale, so maybe they have a new unpatented trick? But it seems they might have let slip that they actually just use two normal image sensors, a UV/IR dot pattern projector, and UV filter glass.

Company that is commercializing the spatial user interface from the movie Minority Report. My basic complaint about such an interface is that it's okay for short term use, but your shoulders/arms will get tired from protracted use because first world people lack arm strength.

Natalia Immersive SmartGoggles | Sensics SmartGoggles
3D HMD with integrated android OS, head tracking, hand tracking(?!?), but unfortunately it does not conquer the "Stand back citizen, I'm from the internet!" dumb look problem for HMD's. Unclear if the forward sensors (presumably used for the hand tracking) are optical cameras or just some kind of distance ranger like an ultrasonic transducer. If optical cameras, there might be the possibility for AR.

Meta Perception: Human Interface
I sort of like this. Embedded AR video and audio projectors sense user gesture actions to determine desired activity, then project video and sound onto existing surfaces for a person to interact with. Pick up a banana and stick it by your ear and mouth, and the system will think you are trying to make a phone call (Banana Phone!), or you open an empty pizza box you are sitting in front of, and the system interprets that you need a computer terminal so a desktop and keyboard are projected. By applying the interfaces over existing objects, you reduce the need for interactive terminals, so this is a push towards sustainability, provided such a system is ubiquitous.
