How I can get concentration from Muse? - Developer Forum - Muse Forum
So the reasons they cite for pulling the focus related API stuff from the SDK was false positives due to eye(brow) muscle movement, which is understandable considering the limited number and location of sensors.

First Breakthrough for Future Air-Breathing Magneto-Plasma Propulsion Systems - ...
pulse plasma engine working at 1 atmosphere, sorta PDE, looks interesting but needs high power (remote beaming?), so looking like something for airships for now.

Focus / Start Your Head with transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS)
Shocking your brain to work better, apparently. Which sorta works (applies to focus, learning, and working memory and possibly raising pain thresholds and non-dominant hand usability), but long term usage effects are still unknown. Also, it uses saline soaked sponges for the contacts to keep your skin from burning!

Vinod Khosla's Five-Second Rule - Forbes
Interesting take on presentations. Basically, copy TV news programs; simple graphic/image, few words, make it memorable. The slight difference is when presenting, shut up after presenting a new slide to give the audience time to absorb new content.
