Somebody did a whole Ph.D in saltwater bubbles. Because it's a much deeper topic than people give it credit for.

Self-Deployed Space or Planetary Habitats and Extremely Large Structures
NIAC phase 1 results. NRO research related as well for deployable space telescopes. Rigidized UV cured polymer thin film bubbles for space applications. Possible flat primary mirrors/solar sails, but if they are making spheres, making curved mirror segments should be doable. If you use 6 stabilizing hoops as cut lines, can get 6 sphere segments without much waste (waste could be repurposed as additional mirror segments)

Weird air bubble entrainment nozzle design that cuts water use but still has pressure (doesn't feel like poor performing low flow nozzle) and cleans the same amount. It actually seems to be encapsulating air bubbles.

NC State News :: NC State News and Information » New Metallic Bubble Wrap Offers Big Benefits Over Other Protective Materials
Basically a very specific variant of metal foams (using large single bubbles), you can make stiff structures without a bulk material, and the bubble aspect is more controllable rather than a normal bulk foamed structure.

Ships | Air cushion concept to lower ship’s fuel consumption by 30 percent | ekopolitan
I always wondered how they deal with air bubbles escaping the air cavity towards the transom interfering with the propellers. Shouldn't that aggravate cavitation? Ideally, wouldn't that require a center "trench" run towards the stern to funnel the escaping bubbles, and perhaps waterjets with side intakes?

Panasonic: Oxygen-rich Water Encourages Growth of Plants -- Tech-On!
Hrm, I wonder if this could be used out in the field by having an inline aerator microbubbler near the nozzles of agricultural watering equipment? Much easier to implement in hydroponic systems though. Actually, I wonder if you could make an oxygen and carbon dioxide rich water stream for hydroponics, and if that has merit?
