Tilt Five – Bringing Tabletop Games to Life
Some people think this might be interesting as a data visualization sandbox (literally, as in those sand based visualizations showing topography)

ClearMotion - Home
Really active suspension, similar to the telescopic spoke smartwheels in Snowcrash, where active sensors map upcoming road surfaces and plan suspension travel to maximize adhesion. Perhaps now a logical consequence of autonomous driving sensor technology, which must map the local road environment anyways?

So, I guess this is now the unlimited league for sports, from mechanical to virtual augmentation and maybe some biology in between. Baseline humans need not apply. Doping OK?

Smartphone attached patch thingy you stick on your head, which can stimulate alertfulness without outright shocking you or drugging you up. Might be decent, but uses disposable contact strips you need to replace.

INNOPHYS - 株式会社イノフィス
Interesting new exoskeleton (in back support and back+arm support version) that uses pneumatic actuators and a small refillable compressed air tank. Intended for use where compressed air is available (like hospitals, warehouses, etc). There's some sort of weird mouth suction operated control (optional?) as well.

F20-152 - F20-152.pdf
Chinese followon to marine ramjet research. Seems just compressed air is not enough to to do a standing start for a marine ramjet (similar issue for conventional ramjets), so they basically spliced in an underwater ramjet into the output of a jetski waterjet to overcome standing start issues. Which makes it a kind of supercharged ramjet?!? They used an air tank at 4 bar output, so a production augmented nozzle for jetskis would combine exhaust with an oversized turbocharger's wastegate output as inputs for the marine ramjet.

ACT-RPR-NPS-1107-NTER-paper-final - ACT-RPR-PRO-1107-LS-NTER.pdf
NTER, a nuclear thermal electric rocket design. Uses LH2 propellant to cool a helium brayton cycle turbine fed by a NTR that heats hydrogen and helium, then tries to supercharge the supersonic nozzle exhaust with an induction loop (which seems to require cesium seeding in the exhaust??). Also has optional oxygen feed, to emulate LANTRN. Seems like you could do better with the NTR feeding a VASIMR though...

Stem cells to grow bigger breasts - Times Online
Using stem cells to augment generic fat cell reinjection so the reinjected fat has a stable blood supply tissue composition. A semi-natural boobjob, resulting from cosmetic surgery research for breast cancer victims.

As opposed to that recent japanese news blurb about a company selling a gadget (maybe a ringtone or a mp3?) that plays resampled baby crying sounds, which seem to have a verifiable psycho-physiological effect of causing the female body to "prepare" itself for breast feeding by enlarging the breasts. Though I wonder how marketable that would be considering the heightened female sensitivity to irritation from baby crying sounds. They certainly couldn't use such an audio device overnight as they probably wouldn't get a good nights sleep. That, and the effect wouldn't be permanent unless they were nursing.
