New high strength glass, but it requires a high temperature air levitation furnace setup (which is expensive to operate), and uses tantalum, which is stupid expensive. The glass by weight of the component ingredients alone would cost more than silver by weight.

Seems like if the powder grind/mix is well done, you get pretty awesome graphene nanoflake reinforced aluminum composites. Apparently they got over a previous issue, where CNT's in an aluminum matrix turned into aluminum carbide, lowering materials properties.

Basically a hybrid solid rocket, using aluminum powder grain fuel and CO2 (gas? solid?) for fuels, with the CO2 being collected locally on the martian surface. Though considering all the ISRU work done so far, I would have thought producing oxygen for the oxidizer would have been more attractive from an overall integrated system/mass/power budget perspective...
