These guys may be involved with the NASA guy studying a nanotube matrix as a direct alphavoltaic energy harvestor for an RTG, as nanotubes are self-annealing/repairing under electric current (electromigration).

Sandia did a new study for persistent UAV's using unusual configurations for power and propulsion, effectively turning them into low altitude satellites. Which shortens to "Hey, what if we stick an RTG into a medium sized UAV that is really lightweight?" and other neat ideas. RTG sensor blimps might be interesting. Would like to see full report details though...
