Indian Navy plans to go green by setting up ocean thermal energy plant at Andaman & Nicobar Islands - The Economic Times
Interesting, DCNS is heading this project. What about the indigenous OTEC work India was already pursuing (well, before their disasterous cold water pipe drop...). If they succeed, this may be of interest to the British (Diego Garcia) and the US Navy (Guam).

Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion
DCNS looks to be moving ahead with their OTEC work with a recent grant, compared to Lockheed Martin that seems to have given up in Hawaii after followup grants didn't materialize.

silent, invisible, predictable, renewable energy - tidal technology - openhydro
Didn't know DCNS got involved with these guys. DCNS seems to be pretty active in ocean energy work, what with their submarine nuclear powerplant and OTEC work...

Innovative Flexblue concept: DCNS and partners AREVA, CEA and EDF to conduct validation study | DCNS
Basically a not very mobile nuclear submarine that exports power. Coolant is free, subsea power transfer cable isn't.
