Hrm, pages 53-55 suggest actual issues only in the 25000 ppm range, not the 1400ppm suggested by the harvard study, derived from submarine crew studies, but some of the studies had not a lot of study participants, and US Navy standards and expectations for crew may be somewhat different (currently they try to keep average 3500ppm and try to keep below 8000ppm, but they are also in a long term exposure environment where the body may adapt)(previously 4,100 ppm average with a range of 300-11,300 ppm)...

New hybrid ceramic for use in heat exchangers. Start with a titanium carbide porous block, immerse in a copper and zirconium bath. The zirconium infiltrates the ceramic and displaces titanium in the carbide, while the titanium migrates into the open pores. Copper ends up being a thin film sealant.

A synthetic pathway for the fixation of carbon dioxide in vitro | Science
Artificial CO2 fixation cycle (CETCH) made from a combo of 11 enzymes found across animals and plants appears to be 2-3 times faster and 25% more energy efficient than the Calvin cycle, but outputs a weird glyoxylate (which can be further converted to other stuff but...) rather than glucose so now just need to stuff a synthetic bacterium with DNA to build and operate those 11 enzymes to see if it really is better than photosynthesis. Primary boost is replacing RuBisCO with the enzyme ECR for better initial CO2 capture.
