David Beckham's decision to donate Paris St-Germain wages to charity is a PR masterstroke, claims expert - Telegraph
Milligan said the Beckham brand was built on three pillars: football, fashion and ambassadorial roles.
“He always talks about giving something back,” he added.
“So, the charitable donation piece is part of the development of that side of the Beckham brand.
“He’s often regarded as quite down-to-earth – even though he lives this multi-millionaire lifestyle – and hasn’t forgotten his roots.
“This is why he’s been so successful with so many different audiences around the world.
“It’s part of that developed and quite intentional brand narrative that Beckham’s been about.”
