Arduino - APIStyleGuide
The Arduino style guide for code libraries is deliberately contrarian. This is the closest thing to an explanation of Arduino C++ object-oriented programming in the canonical Arduino reference. It's a once over lightly, with little discussion of OOP and no mention of how to use the Arduino IDE to create .h and .cpp files, and how to manage them.

"This is a style guide to writing library APIs in an Arduino style. Some of these run counter to professional programming practice. We’re aware of that, but it’s what’s made it possible for so many beginners to get started with Arduino easily."

Silicone Molding with FDM Patterns
FDM, or fused deposition molding, is beside the point, as far as I'm concerned. What interests me about this document is the rules of thumb for silicone part design. Most of these apply generally.
From the document:

Silicone molding, also known as room temperature vulcanized (RTV) molding, is a fast and affordable solution for prototyping and short-run production. Offering lead times of three to seven days at just a fraction of the cost of an aluminum tool for injection molding, silicone molding is an attractive alternative for the production of plastic parts.

TV Tropes
From the website:
Merriam-Webster defines trope as a "figure of speech." For creative writer types, tropes are more about conveying a concept to the audience without needing to spell out all the details.
The wiki is called "TV Tropes" because TV is where we started. Over the course of a few years, our scope has crept out to include other media. Tropes transcend television. They reflect life. Since a lot of art, especially the popular arts, does its best to reflect life, tropes are likely to show up everywhere.

Semantic Scholar - An academic search engine for scientific articles
A search engine for peer-reviewed academic research. From the site:
What if a cure for an intractable cancer is hidden within the results of thousands of clinical studies? We believe that in 20 years’ time, AI will be able to connect the dots between studies to identify hypotheses and suggest experiments that would otherwise be missed. That's why we're building Semantic Scholar and making it free and open to researchers everywhere.
Semantic Scholar is a project at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2). AI2 was founded to conduct high-impact research and engineering in the field of artificial intelligence. We're funded by Paul Allen, Microsoft co-founder, and led by Dr. Oren Etzioni, a world-renowned researcher and professor in the field of artificial intelligence.

c# - Using verify in selenium testing using NUnit - Stack Overflow
An explanation of implementing soft assertions (what Selenium documentation calls "verification") in a C#/NUnit/WebDriver environment. After wandering all over the landscape, I am much better prepared to appreciate this approach.

"You are essentially asking for a way to do "soft assertions". The way the IDE does it is correct. After all, that's what "soft assertions" are. If something fails a particular assertion, you want it to carry on regardless. That is what the IDE is doing, by catching that exception (notice that in it's code it's only catching the AssertionException).
"In order to help avoid messy code, the best you can do is create your own verify methods. Sometimes you don't even need to catch exceptions."

Will wonders never cease?

c# 4.0 - Assert, Verify and other commands in Selenium WebDriver using C# - Stack Overflow
I'm bookmarking this basic Q&A out of a completist instinct. This assertion that it's not Selenium WebDriver that supports assertions in testing, but e.g. NUnit or MSTest, working in concert with the WebDriver framework. This is part of the foundation of the approach I'm assembling.

Test Design Considerations — Selenium Documentation
The current Selenium documentation is written for developers. They can't NOT say something about test design; but in sequence, it doesn't come until after several chapters' worth or more granular considerations. In any event, here it is; and it's notable for articulating the distinction between "assert" and "verify." Unfortunately this distinction doesn't seem to translate linearly from the Java world to the C# world.
"In contrast, verify commands will not terminate the test. If your test uses only verify commands you are guaranteed (assuming no unexpected exceptions) the test will run to completion whether the checks find defects or not."
This article also briefly discusses the page object model, data-driven-testing, and database validation, among other topics.
