A graffiti artist named Wanksy found a cheeky way to force his city to fix potholes
'It looks like Wanksy's work is yielding results. The road ahead may be long and hard, but as long as he keeps thrusting ahead, he'll get the satisfaction his city needs. And when he sees the hot liquid asphalt spurting all over the street, he knows it's worth it.'

How do you counter-protest those calling for less police brutality, less deaths of black people to them?
Get a bunch of white guys to wear hoodies saying "I can breathe", apparently. Seriously, what the fuck? How do they think that makes any kind of point bar privilege?

BBC News - Stuart Rodger sentenced for shouting at David Cameron
When I read this headline, I had an immediate instinct to check whether it was a parody. But it's not. What the fuck?

'A man who shouted "no public sector cuts" at David Cameron during a speech in Glasgow has been ordered to carry out 100 hours of community service.'

400 women called Sarah
Julie Bindle has written an article essentially dismissing the existence of bisexuality, and suggesting it's all a political/feminist issue. The 'evidence' she includes is a survey of 400 women, some of those women thinking bisexuality doesn't exist.

As a comparison, inspired by the project to get a longer list of evolution-supporting scientists named Steve, than the list of evolution denying scientists (named anything), a friend has set up a page to get 400 women called Sarah to affirm that they believe bisexuality exists.

No tents/sleeping bags is an arguable one. No public speaking? That I disagree with.

But they're doing it for the fact that they're glorifying terrorism, and they're apparently just a renaming of an already banned group, not for burning poppies, so I have less issue with the ban.

'…the chattering classes keep complaining that the marchers lack a clear message and specific policy prescriptions. The message — and the solutions — should be obvious to anyone who has been paying attention since the economy went into a recession that continues to sock the middle class while the rich have recovered and prospered. The problem is that no one in Washington has been listening.'
