Where next for the Human Rights Act? | Second reading
I find the comment 'The suggestion that you’ve got to apply the human rights convention even on the battle-fields of Helmand' flabbergasting. THE ENTIRE POINT of Human Rights is that they apply everywhere.

Better Together gets mauled for its #PatronisingBTLady ad
I've previously been saying "From a self-interest PoV, I'd probably benefit from Scotland staying, but if I lived there, I'd vote Yes in a shot" But after the sheer level of talking down to people in that ad, fuck it, run free Scotland, and I'll just blame the idiots who made this.

Constitutional Reform and Prince Harry's Balls
The reason that the son of Prince Harry has an outside chance of being Head of State and mine doesn’t is that Prince Harry has Magic Balls

I love state politics - Brendan Nyhan
Short version? Vetoing individual words in bills = craaaazy. Long version: Okay, if you want to have individuals elected to be in charge of large areas, and invest them with a lot of power, then letting them veto bills somewhat follows from that. But turning 700 words into 20, and a page or so worth of sentences to "Move this from here to there" is... flabbergasting.
