The US definition of a hate crime
Possibly interesting to some people reading this, I'm curious how this differs from the UK definition. Interesting that some major stuff doesn't get prosecuted as such, because they're already going to get life imprisonment or execution, and the prosecutor doesn't want to have to prove the hate crime element as well

The train dispatcher who defines what it means to be a gentleman
"Being nice to the people around you. That is one of the things that is really worth fighting for. Everything else is vanity."

As well as this guy being generally awesome, I think it's nice that in a lot of places, there's more room for people to show their own personalities; whenever I'm on a train and the driver has a bit of personality in their announcements, it puts a smile on my face, and makes it a nicer journey.
