YouTube -- Freedomain Radio: Jim Carrey: Stop Apologizing! We Must Say YES to Socialism!
'During a recent appearance on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, Hollywood actor Jim Carrey displayed his new "Nike" shoes and described them as "a salute to Colin Kaepernick" later even asserting that, "We have to say yes to socialism, to the word and everything. We have to stop apologizing." Stefan Molyneux does a deep dive into all things Jim Carrey and explains how an intelligent successful human being could still support the dangerous ideology of socialism.' -- "The way you avoid getting angry at your mother is you say 'Well, it happens to everyone.'" -- Muh anxious attachment

Troy Hunt: The Effectiveness of Publicly Shaming Bad Security
Now I don't know how much of this change was due to my public shaming of their security posture, maybe they were going to get their act together afterward anyway. Who knows. However, what I do know for sure is that I got this DM from someone not long after that post got media attention (reproduced with their permission):

Hi Troy, I just want to say thanks for your blog post on the Natwest HTTPS issue you found that the BBC picked up on. I head up the SEO team at a Media agency for a different bank and was hitting my head against a wall trying to communicate this exact thing to them after they too had a non secure public site separate from their online banking. The quote the BBC must have asked from them prompted the change to happen overnight, something their WebDev team assured me would cost hundreds of thousands of pounds and at least a year to implement! I was hitting my head against the desk for 6 months before that so a virtual handshake of thanks from my behalf! Thanks!

Freedomain Radio -- #4169: Anti-Stefan Molyneux Protests? - Call In Show - August 15 2018 (MP3)
"...That's probably one of the reason why she has such trouble being a new mom. Babies don't validate you. Everyone thinks having babies they're going to love you, they're going to stare at you, they're going to coo at you. No! They're monsters of narcissistic need and that's exactly how they should be. Babies don't validate you. They'll smile at twelve weeks, and coo and gurgle and start laughing at a couple of months, and so on. But if you're empty inside, you will not be able to be an effective parent, you will not be able to bond because you've got no [emotional] resources to provide. It's like trying to pay a bill with an empty wallet. You've got nothing. And when you have children, all of your personal deficiencies are brought into light because you have to be there for someone else 150%. The baby is not there for you; the baby does not care about your thoughts and your feelings; the baby is hungry and it cries – of course – and that's exactly what you want from your baby: to be truly narcissistic and focused on their own needs and their own pleasures. There's an assertive bullying (with no moral judgements) – there's an assertive will that babies manifest. And you have to recognise that you're there for the baby, the baby isn't there for you. And if you're used to being selfish, it causes you to fall apart, emotionally. If you're used to getting attention; if you're used to being admired; if you're used to people being there worshipping you – babies aren't going to do that; they don't care; it's about them. So if you're someone for whom it's always been about you and a baby comes along, it's about the baby, and for people who are that way inclined, they can't change that perspective quickly enough, they can't rewire their whole brain quickly enough to reverse twenty to thirty years of selfishness – and they resent the baby then. ... If you're kind of selfish and used to being the center of attention and it's all about you, it's the worst thing you're ever going to go through. It feels like the baby has stolen your identity; it feels like the baby is attacking you; it feels like the baby is stealing from you – undoing you. I think, to some degree, that's what postpartum depression is about."

YouTube -- [Alain de Botton]: The Problem of Shame
'Underlying so many of our emotional problems lies one phenomenon above any other; shame. Feeling misguidedly and disproportionately ashamed of who we are is at the root of an extraordinary amount of disturbance, rendering us harmful to ourselves and to the world.'

YouTube -- RussiaToday: Hikikomori Loveless: What causes young Japanese hermits to give up on real life
'Known as hikikomori, the phenomenon of social withdrawal has become increasingly commonplace in Japan. Hundreds of thousands of Japanese shut themselves away, spending months and sometimes years in isolation. -- The social recluses don’t study or go to work. They retreat into their rooms, rarely venturing out to get food in a convenience store and to communicate with immediate family. One of them is Ito. He spends time listening to music, playing video games and surfing the internet. But he has neither the power nor desire to leave his bedroom, where he has voluntarily locked himself. Unlike his younger brother, Ito was regularly yelled at and hit as a child. His parents, he says, only wanted him to be successful in life. Hikikomori often strikes families, where the fathers spend day and night at work, while the mothers focus entirely on their offspring, particularly the eldest sons. Smothering mothers, bullying at school, social pressure and expectations are among the reasons that push some Japanese into self-imposed confinement. RTD travels to Japan to hear the stories of Ito and others, who ended up trapped inside their bedrooms. We question why the epidemic of hikikomori has gripped modern Japan, and what drives the people into seclusion and how some of them eventually decide to get out. From personal stories of hikikomoris and their relatives, and from those who reach out to them, RTD offers an intimate portrait of Japan’s modern hermits.'
