There Are No Mirrors in Heaven, Reports Gary Busey
Videogum points our attention to a delightful Gary Busey anecdote in the AV/Club Toronto’s Random Roles interview with Curtis Jackson (a.k.a Booger from Revenge of the Nerds), and there is really nothing else to do but circle round for Story Time. Some backstory first: Jackson worked with Busey on Quiqley, a 2003 movie about a software tycoon who is reincarnated as a fluffy-white Pomeranian. (Both the trailer and the poster are worth a look.) Jackson was asked about the experience of working with Busey, and we’ll just let him take it away:
We were shooting this movie—which is a horrible movie — and he was supposed to come back from the dead. And he of course, Gary Busey, supposedly had done this — he’d been in an accident and died and came back. He showed up on a set made to look like heaven, and he looked around and said, “I can’t play this scene.” They were three days behind at this point. But Busey said, “It’s nothing like this. I’ve been to heaven and it doesn’t look like this. That sofa’s all wrong. That mirror is ridiculous. They don’t even have mirrors!” It was ridiculous. He was completely nuts about the design of heaven.

Busey apparently then started fighting with another actor who'd had a near-death experience about what, exactly, heaven looks like.  There's more! Go read it all.

Alan's Worst Day Ever Bookended by Gary Busey on 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)
If Alan thought losing his mind and thinking he was his brother Charlie was about as bad as it could get, he was in for quite a shock when he got out of the stress clinic loony bin on 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS). While last week seemed to be a final tribute to Charlie Harper, this week was all about the show, and hopefully its audience, moving on and embracing this new situation.

This was done by showing Alan his worst possible life, only to thankfully awaken back in the stress clinic with roommate Gary Busey. Could you cast a better loony bin roomie than Busey?

QUIGLEY: The Movie Where Gary Busey Plays A White Pomeranian Named Quigley
Ok, quick backstory to this one. In 2003, Gary Busey starred in a Christian movie about a wealthy man who hates dogs but then he dies and turns into a dog named Quigley and as a dog he has to find a CD-Rom and also help his brother and his family but it’s tough cause he’s peeing everywhere.

Once again: Gary Busey is a rich man. He dies. He comes back as a white Pomeranian named Quigley. He has to do something with CD-Roms. This is from 2003. This is real. The Found Footage People have graciously watched through this entire movie and cut it into the following bafflingly digestible highlight reel:

Ahh, the medium of video: Things are recorded on it so you can watch them and be like “see, there’s that.”

I never would’ve expected the actual movie could’ve possibly lived up to the amazing Quigley poster:

YouTube - Gary Busey Interview about "Quigley"
This is from the DVD of the film "Quigley", in which Gary Busey plays a rude billionaire who dies but gets sent back to earth as a dog to correct his ways. This interview is just priceless in so many ways.
