Five Levels - Wired (YouTube)
This is a fascinating idea. The physics one struck me as a bit contrived.
But the challenge is a real one, and perhaps something to be done with a
variety of things at stake--the gospel, cooking, a book, a poem, and so on.
I like the Augustinian concept that anything true can be said truthfully to
anyone, when made appropriate to their training and understanding.

Augustine of Hippo, Christian Democrat / by Paul D. Miller (Providence, 2019/09/03)
“This also helps us understand how Augustinian liberalism differs from progressivism. Progressivism expects far too much of the state and its citizens. It treats the state as an instrument of endless moral reform and demands that citizens participate in a religion of progress and self-improvement to achieve its eschatological vision of the American promise. Augustine again recognizes the impossibility—the danger and the fanaticism, even—inherent in such a project. The Augustinian state ‘does not seek to make men truly good or virtuous. Rather, it is interested in their outward actions.’[16] Government ‘does not change, and does not attempt to change, the basic desires and attitudes of the men whose conduct it seeks to regulate.’[17] These lowered ambitions make sense because the rulers are themselves sinners and cannot be trusted to rule in the name of virtue. The state with lower ambitions ‘does not require good and just men as its legislators, judges, jailers, or executioners.’

Augustine’s Love Sermon | Christian History Institute
. Once and for all, I give you this one short command: love, and do what you will. If you hold your peace, hold your peace out of love. If you cry out, cry out in love. If you correct someone, correct them out of love. If you spare them, spare them out of love. Let the root of love be in you: nothing can spring from it but good.

Live and Let Love (Or, Luther vs. Augustine: A Showdown) | Mockingbird
Augustine, among others, is a prize-fighter of the Evangelical church. His Confessions persists as an essential read for every young believer, and his emphatic defense of the church in the ugly face of pelagianism is the stuff of legend within Mockingbird. While he certainly faltered in places because of his cultural milieu (he suggested deaf […]

The Ladder of St. Augustine - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Augustine! well hast thou said
That of our vices we can frame
A ladder, if we will but tread
Beneath our feet each deed of shame!
All common things, each day’s events,
That with the hour begin and end,
Our pleasures and our discontents,
Are rounds by which we may ascend.
The low desire, the base design,
That makes another’s virtues less;
The revel of the ruddy wine,
And all occasions of excess;
The longing for ignoble things;
The strife for triumph more than truth;
The hardening of the heart, that brings
Irreverence for the dreams of youth;
All thoughts of ill; all evil deeds,
That have their root in thoughts of ill;
Whatever hinders or impedes
The action of the nobler will; —
All these must first be trampled down
Beneath our feet, if we would gain
In the bright fields of fair renown
The right of eminent domain.
We have not wings, we cannot soar;
But we have feet to scale and climb
By slow degrees, by more and more,
The cloudy summits of our time.
The mighty pyramids of stone
That wedge-like cleave the desert airs,
When nearer seen, and better known,
Are but gigantic flights of stairs.
The distant mountains, that uprear
Their solid bastions to the skies,
Are crossed by pathways, that appear
As we to higher levels rise.
The heights by great men reached and kept
Were not attained by sudden flight,
But they, while their companions slept,
Were toiling upward in the night.
Standing on what too long we bore
With shoulders bent and downcast eyes,
We may discern — unseen before —
A path to higher destinies,
Nor doom the irrevocable Past
As wholly wasted, wholly vain,
If, rising on its wrecks, at last
To something nobler we attain.

Augustine's caution to avoid astrologers has regularly been mistranslated as an admonition against mathematicians.
"The Latin word mathematici derives from the Greek meaning of 'something learned' and refers mainly to astrologers. This was the chief branch of mathematics at the time but has been replaced in modern times by a plethora of other branches. According to the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, 3rd edition, the word 'mathematician' still meant astrologer as late as 1710."

Middle Passage Project
The Middle Passage Ceremonies and Port Markers Project (MPCPMP) is a non-profit tax-exempt organization established in 2011 to honor the two million captive Africans who perished during the transatlantic crossing known as the Middle Passage and the ten million who survived to build the Americas. This initiative involves:

Commemorating the nearly 12 million Africans involved in the Middle Passage of the transatlantic human trade.
Researching and identifying all ports of entry for Africans during the 350 years of the transatlantic human trade
Encouraging local communities to hold remembrance ceremonies at each of the 50 documented Middle Passage port sites in the United States of America
Supporting the installation of historic markers to establish a permanent record honoring those who died and those who survived the Middle Passage
Educating the community about the vital role that Africans and their descendants played in the development of both local areas and the nation
Partnering with historical and cultural societies, academic institutions, churches, visitor and tourist bureaus, and community organizations to promote African Diaspora history and culture, especially related to the Middle Passage
