Ninth Circuit Court: Secret GPS Tracking is Legal | Executive Gov
'In the majority opinion, the Ninth Circuit Court ruled that since Pineda-Moreno’s driveway wasn’t enclosed and was open to passersby like delivery men and neighborhood children, it didn’t pass the Dunn test for curtilage.  Never mind that in the Dunn opinion, the majority writes “we do not suggest that combining these factors produces a finely tuned formula that, when mechanically applied, yields a “correct” answer to all extent-of-curtilage questions.”'

Why the TSA pat-downs and body scans are unconstitutional
Jeffrey Rosen: "Neither virtual strip-searches nor intrusive pat-downs should be considered 'routine,' and therefore courts should rule that neither can be used for primary screening."

The Sidewalks Of Clarksville, Texas : NPR
They explained that the principal and the lady on the porch, whom they called Mrs. B, exemplified a split in black Clarksville. Their understanding was rooted in their experiences over the past three years.

They told me that middle-class blacks, whose economic position depended on the goodwill of the Clarksville white community, would have nothing to do with them after they were arrested, even after evidence emerged that they might be innocent of the drug charges.

African-Americans like Mrs. B, on the other hand, whose economic well-being was independent of the opinion of the Clarksville white community, kept an open mind about the brothers and would even rise to the family's defense.

RIAA Asks For Sanctions Against Charles Nesson In Tenenbaum Suit | Techdirt
Recently, they've been battling over the right to broadcast the courtroom proceedings, and now the RIAA is asking for monetary sanctions against Nesson, claiming he violated certain procedural rules. The RIAA is likely seeking sanctions under section 11, which is used against lawyers who file lawsuits that are "unreasonable." In other words, this is starting to get personal.
