gpujs/gpu.js: GPU Accelerated JavaScript
GPU.js is a JavaScript Acceleration library for GPGPU (General purpose computing on GPUs) in JavaScript for Web and Node. GPU.js automatically transpiles simple JavaScript functions into shader language and compiles them so they run on your GPU. In case a GPU is not available, the functions will still run in regular JavaScript. For some more quick concepts, see Quick Concepts on the wiki.

Localstorage design patterns and passive expiration
At Grubhub we made the decision to rebuild the consumer web application with AngularJS. We did this knowing that we no longer wanted to maintain our user’s application state on the server so we chose to utilize HTML5 localstorage. This helped in reducing maintenance complexity in our frontend servers and allowed our web application to more closely follow native mobile app behavior. This process was a great learning experience for us and so we wanted to share our insights in case you’re considering a similar approach in building great applications.

How to Enable DNS Over HTTPS in Your Web Browser
Mozilla has started rolling out DNS over HTTPS for all Firefox users, a solid security change that’s meant to address the issue of third parties spying on the websites you’re visiting. Normally, when you type a website into your browser’s address bar and hit Enter, your browser uses DNS to map the domain name to the actual IP address of the server you’re trying to reach—the one that hosts the website you’re looking to visit.

Google Chrome's fear of Microsoft Edge is revealing its bad side | Laptop Mag
"Google recommends using Chrome," Chrome warned Edge users using the Google search engine. "Try a fast, secure browser with updates built in."

What's peculiar about Chrome's messages is that, as MSPowerUser points out, Google seems to be solely targeting Edge users: "We didn't receive any pop ups or warnings on Opera, which is also based on Chromium framework."
