Michael Tsai - Blog - Mac App Notarization and Customer Privacy
What does not appear to be documented is that Mojave “phones home” to Apple on first launch of every downloaded app, regardless of whether the app was notarized. […] This status is not cached. In packet traces I see a reference to http://ocsp.apple.

Michael Tsai - Blog - Proof That iOS Still Hasn’t Gotten Undo Right
There is a common convention for Undo/Redo in iOS drawing apps — circular arrow buttons, counterclockwise for Undo and clockwise for Redo. (And, thankfully, these are the same icons used for Undo/Redo on the iPad on-screen keyboard. Consistency is not completely lost.

Michael Tsai - Blog - How OmniDiskSweeper Reports Free Space
The “purgeable” space is space that the operating system knows how to reclaim when you try to create files that need that space. But it’s not truly cleared up from the disk yet and still shows up in OmniDiskSweeper’s summary list.

DOES YOUR STRATEGY EVEN LIFT BRO? – BBH
The idea of strategy as a pristine process with white gloves and pure charts is one I have always tried to snub out. Instead: extreme ownership. Anything that affects the result, we’re there. Politics, production, budgets, casting, lines, whatever. It’s harder. You’ll sweat more. But if you don’t you’re letting that rascal probability get one up on you again.

Aranea/Ravus, fuckbuddies developing feelings
Aranea and Ravus have been casually fucking for a while, mostly because they're in a high-pressure work environment filled with people they despise and the options aren't great. They've been getting more comfortable with each other, enough to try some trust-heavy stuff, and being vulnerable with each other isn't terrible, and -

oh no, are these feelings? The other must never know!

(But they do find out eventually. And then they smooch.)

++Femdom and/or BDSM stuff
+++Sarcasm friends who claim to not be friends, just colleagues. Who hang out together, and fuck. They were never really fooling anyone.
++++Their horrible coworkers

BRLTTY - Official Home
"a background process (daemon) which provides access to the Linux/Unix console (when in text mode) for a blind person using a refreshable braille display. It drives the braille display, and provides complete screen review functionality. Some speech capability has also been incorporated."
Also note BrlAPI , which can provide an API for programs to output the text that can then be fed into BRLTTY OR speech synthesizers

Cuba Extends Internet To Mobile Phones, Promising New Access - @publicbill
Cuba went 3G today - for those who can pay: "Cuba's state telephone company will allow mobile phone customers to use the Internet via a new 3G network, starting on Thursday. But as with previous tech advances in the island nation, only those who can afford it will be able to take advantage of the access — which remains under the control of the autocratic government...To take advantage of the new service, Cubans will need to pay the equivalent of $7 for 600 megabytes of data, $10 for 1 gigabyte and $30 for 4 gigabytes, according to the state-run Granma news agency. The cost of access poses a steep barrier in a country where nearly 60 percent of the population lives on $100 or less per month, as a 2016 Cuban consumer survey found. Despite that obstacle, 68 percent of Cubans said they had a Facebook account, and 57 percent said they had an email address, the survey said." - Bill Chappell, NPR
